What color furniture and rug would go with this????
Comments (0)Starting to do the den. I will enclose a pic of my great room since the den is right off it. We want a 65" tv on wall, media console (?is that the right term????) under it with closed storage in it for 'stuff'), 2 large very tall bookcases, small desk for me with chair, 3 seat recliner couch in a light color. I would like the room to blend nicely with great room and be light, bright, and comfy.....touch primitive or touch Asian. Found this media console that I love due to different colors and textures but may be too much and don't know if I can put different color woods with it. Comes in 74" inch 3 door or 82" 4 door. Or am I better off sticking to a safer one? thanks! What do you think?...See MoreWhat color paint would go best?

I wouldn't choose dark gray myself. You might be able to lean gray, but not do full on gray. If you want a color, you're probably best leaning green, but keep it subtle. After you choose a body color, think about how to make your front door more interesting....See Morewhat rug pattern would go best?
Comments (4)Perhaps if you layer rugs you can end up with the size you want. Isn't there a way to avoid the rug being in a high traffic area? It looks like there is some bare floor to use as a passage around the rug and seating. I think a sagey green in your colors and in a geometric is something that would work....See MoreAmber
