what rug pattern would go best?

I’m looking for a 8x11 area rug. I currently have a neutral indoor outdoor rug, but it has caused my cowhide not to lay flat because of the indoor/outdoor
Material.
8x11 or even 8x12 is hard to find. If I use a 9 x 12 it interferes with my walkway and furniture layout.

I’m looking for help in what pattern & color would look best. I use the cowhide to help protect the area as it is high traffic and the current rug is off-white, which makes it even more hard to keep clean.

I’ve also looked at colors in taupe but ordering online can be tricky as they can have a pink undertone.

Sisal doesn’t seem as cozy in my opinion but maybe

I love the blue in the chair fabric.

I've heard order a rug in the smallest size...easier to return. Then if you like it order the big one.

this is a picture. we have since redone the floors. the previous owners had a high table which they left for us and we LOVE it...you can see the ceiling is slightly pitched because it is open to the family room which has a vaulted ceiling.

Yes, you'd definitely want to center the artwork over the dresser. I mocked up a couple scaled versions for you. Sometimes it's helpful to cut out pieces of butcher paper at the potential sizes and tape them up on your wall. I do agree with Pam's point above. Make sure these are really secured to the wall, or baby could knock them down. ... or, um, splatter something on them. ;)

I need to see the space and as for color you will need to test some in your space no one can really help with that. Make sure your lighting is all LED 400k that will help. I suggest you choose 3 you think will work then paint 3 poster boards 2 coats of the colors and see what works.

It’s an odd shade close to a sage or olive green. I have a good bit of the green shades. My sofa & love seat are off white.

I was trying to find a light shade of taupe. But thought someone might have more experience in putting patterns together even, I don’t want things to look too busy.

Perhaps if you layer rugs you can end up with the size you want.

Isn't there a way to avoid the rug being in a high traffic area? It looks like there is some bare floor to use as a passage around the rug and seating.

I think a sagey green in your colors and in a geometric is something that would work.
