khourshed, the more usual symptom is a pale leaf blade with green leaf veins. With a bit of imagination you can discern a green 'triangle' (outlined by the yellowing edge) on the older leaves. You have probably seen the same symptom on older palm fronds - especially Phoenix canariensis, the Canary Island date palm. The symptom is related to magnesium deficiency, I think that you have over applied iron and this may have depressed magnesium uptake (if I remember correctly). Hence the browning along the edge (iron toxicity) and the green triangle (magnesium deficiency). The brown sections should be crisp to the touch. If not, you might have something else. Another pleasant fruit is the soursop, Annona muricata. It flavors ice cream exquisitely.

The cherimoya and sugar apple have been unresponsive to the light so far. The rollinia seems to cope with temperature swings better than the cherimoya and sugar apple. On a different note my canistels are sending out leaves very well and my pasiflora quadrangulis is sending out new growth.

I have guavas in containers - green guava (psidium guajava), strawberry guava, and a "red guava" that is an unknown species but looks like a strawberry except it's bigger. They are young - just over a year old, but they have done very well, and (with the exception of citrus) I have NOT been lucky with other tropical fruit plants. I was hospitalized for an extended period of time, and my guavas were somewhat neglected - they were in the care of a housemate who wouldn't know a guava from a turnip, so it was 4 months of benign neglect for them, but they came through totally unscathed. They are tough plants. A little thirsty in hot summers, and somewhat heavy feeders it seems, but otherwise tough. Too young for fruit yet on mine though. They didn't flinch at being in for winter (I'm in North Carolina), they haven't flinched at the 100-degree days we've had this summer. I made sure they weren't exposed to frost, but they can take some cool - I left them out until the temps hit the mid 30s and they were unbothered. The strawberry guava can take a bit colder than that - that one did see some *light* frosts, and again it was unbothered. Mine are not grafted or bought - seed-grown, so if I get fruit, it will be a longer wait. I do have a calamondin that is budding, so fruit in a pot certainly isn't impossible, and I'm a serious novice!

YT...I have both in containers right now. The SA will be by far the easiest to maintain. I agree that the cherimoya fruit has some benefits over the SA. My cherimoya is currently in a huge container. I believe good pruning practices will keep it maintained for a good while. If it continues to do well...I may plant this one directly into the ground. I have 3 varieties grafted onto this plant and if I remember correctly, I've only gotten fruit from the seedling parts...which turns out to be a keeper as well. So far, it has been slow to produce a large amount of blooms at the same time so to give me a chance at pollinating. This season, there was not enough blooms coming on at the same time to even make an attempt. One thing I will mention is that so far...the cherimoya has proven the best at resisting pests and disease. My SA has struggled over the years.
