Flickr is very similar to Photobucket. I prefer it as it seemed a bit simpler to my mind, and this is the type of thing I want to quickly and easily learn, then not have to think about when I want to do it. Open a Flickr account, upload what you want there, but make sure your images are only 300 dpi size. If they're larger, you will often run in to difficulties posting them everywhere. You can either resize them to 300 dpi in your photo program or simply set your camera to take them at that size so you don't have to manipulate them once they're uploaded. With Flickr, it gives you an icon for sharing the image. You copy the code it gives for sharing the image (s) you wish, paste it to here and keep copying and pasting each image until you've placed all you want here. When you preview your post, it shows you what you're sharing so you can make sure what you want is where you want it and has the proper captions. Once you walk through it, it's pretty simple. I find Irfanview to be really good for this. The program is free and quite small. If you ever decide to do more with Irfanview you should also download in install the plugins. Open Irfanview, click File click Batch/Conversion rename... and follow along in the new window. You need to do landscapes separate from portraits but I am sure you are aware of that anyway.

Hi genes, Sorry to barge in here, but I see you're running Vista with SP1. You may want to consider the free SP2 Update for security reasons. I run Vista as well. Found the following in the link below about 1/2 way down the page. "If you're running Windows Vista without any service packs and you're not ready to upgrade to Windows 7, you should install Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2), a free update. Windows Vista SP2 includes support for new types of hardware and includes all of the updates that have been released since Windows Vista SP1." Just click on the Tab that states "Windows Vista SP2" Just under where it states . "Not ready for Windows 7? Get the latest service pack." I'm not ready for Win7 either. I love my Vista! Also, I had the same thing happen to me with the hidden files on desktop. As zep says...Don't delete them! They will disappear once you check 'Hide protected system files'. The Photo Gallery is just a viewing tool. All of the pictures are in your Pictures folder, unless you specifically put them in another folder. If you see something in the Gallery that you can't find in Pictures...you probably haven't looked hard enough. Sounds like you need to spend some time organizing your pics/folders so you know what is stored where. After that, it should be easy enough to select the proper folder and UPLOAD your pics to Photobucket. It also sounds like you need a proper imageviewer so you can look at the contents of any folder quickly. I'd suggest Irfanview. Here is a link that might be useful: Irfanview
