Comments (16)In my defense, I did leave plants with eggs and cats there. At least one of the women there knew what they were, so I knew they wouldn't be moidered ;) Shannon00: It's called Bowood Farms, and it's off of Olive close to where it intersects with Washington. Really nice, clean, and attractive place. All of their plants look great, especially impressive at this time of year. They are a bit pricey on some things, but I was fine with $2.95 for 4" pots of good looking stock. I have paid that for the little 2" pots in the past. (some of the parsley was a bit leggy, but the rest was ok, and as mentioned, the fennel was *really* nice.) I am wondering if all of my current chrysalids and eggs/cats will go into diapause. It seems early for them to do that, but I was certain some would eclose last week, and they're still sittin' tight. Here is a link that might be useful: Bowood Farms...See MoreHELP! Comments (5)Hi natal, I called Clegg's, they told me that their citrus trees are treated with systemic inseciticides and pesticides, I actually purchased a navel tree from LA Nursery, they told me it had not been treated with anything, but the two caterpillars that ate leaves from that tree got VERY sick less than an hour later, and they both ended up dying. From what I have learned on this forum, the tree was probably treated before arriving at LA nursery, not at LA nursery, and the nursery worker that I spoke with was probably unaware that there was a systemic insecticide in the soil. I went to Whole FOods saturday, they had plenty of herbs, but no rue. I had not thought about trying Harb's or Naylors, do they sell organic herbs? I will call and check with them tomorrow. Thanks...See MoreI've got a sick daughter,...I'm going to try to help her
Comments (18)She is quite sick, and it is important that she get the rest, hydration and meals she needs. How fortunate she is to have a loving mother to help out. Jeff's girlfriend sounds like a fine person as well. Family helps family when the need arises. I don't think pneumonia is contagious, but strep is, so if you handle things she has handled be sure to wash your hands. Can she sleep in her own room separate from others? I bet she will feel much better in a few days. If not, call the dr. How old is the baby?...See MoreI think I'm sick.
Comments (25)Is the redness on the area of your buttock that felt so irritated? My sister had a tiny little ingrown hair near her ankle a few years back, which suddenly became very red, with spreading inflammation within a four hour period. Thankfully she didn't wait too long to have it checked out. They diagnosed it as early stage Necrotizing Fasciitis and put her on high dose antibiotics for the strep infection. The redness and swelling went down quickly and she recovered quickly as well. Even if that's not what your infection is, it's just a lesson for us all to better be safe than sorry, and don't wait to go to a doctor if we come down with anything unusual, that isn't explainable....See Moregraywings123
