It got up to 81 here and sunny on Central CA Coast. We heard from relatives in Chicago who got snow and the high was 27. We didn't rub it in.

I read that there was record snow in the Midwest. In Maryland near DC, Saturday was beautiful. mid 50's and sunny. My friend and I drove around the county from bazaar to bazaar where we picked up some gifts. Finally ended up at the annual Amish quilt auction.- Gorgeous quilts. Today was a bit gray and expecting our first freeze tonight. I hope you had help with the shoveling.

There is not much to shovel with just 3 inches :) I like winter though.

Winter ;( I'm still grieving Spring and Summer, have not settled into Fall. This is not my favorite time of year, short and often wet days.

Have to say, after a stormy week last week, the last couple of days have been bright and sunny, dry. We've had frost the last three mornings, but warming to approx. 50F by afternoon. Tomorrow, rain again, and possible mix of snow/rain on Tuesday. I did get out my winter coat, a lighter jacket wasn't warm enough for me this last week...

It was quite warm in coastal southern California this weekend. DD took her sons to the country club pool.

Argh! 86° F. and bone dry! And I'm dealing with filo dough by the single sheet and it's a battle to get it oiled and wrapped before it dries up and flakes away. And that's with a/c making it cooler and damper. They keep saying how it's going to be a wet year but it's not happening.

We had a pretty chill weekend with outdoor soccer in Tulsa. Saturday started off chilly and windy. Today was better with the game starting at 9:00 with temps in the low 30's, sunshine and little wind.

When I went to the craft show Sat, left around 9:15am, after warming car up, scraping ice and snow flurries off windshield --temp was 13 above. Sun out

Most of the week-end was nasty--cold and overcast. I spent those sunny afternoons last week moving and stacking debris from having the barn re-sided, then we had a huge bonfire (a pile 10' x 20' x 4', and there's still more), on Friday night. Thank goodness, because Saturday afternoon we had a heavy rain, then a wind storm.

Yesterday we had snowballs. I heard something hitting the windows and looked out to see tiny balls of snow--too dry to be sleet, and not hail, just little balls of snow crystals, about the size of those styrofoam balls that are used for bean bags. That lasted only a few minutes, but the cold is still here. We have sunshine this morning, but I'm ready for winter to be over, and it hasn't officially started.

It's FEBRUARY here. We had about eight inches of snow -- starting with rain Friday night, turning to wet, heavy snow all day Saturday. Now down to about three inches and melting/evaporating. It's supposed to be 36F today. DH will go to the high school to assist in English this noontime. I have a hair appointment at 2 p.m.

Full moon tomorrow night, folks!

My weekend here in my part of Ohio was cold and blustery but got no snow. That was fine with me.

We got our first snowfall of the season, here in Ontario. Gorgeous fluffy snow, that stayed on the trees. I was all excited to shovel, but the sidewalks and driveway is still warm so it melted. It's still cold today and the snow is still here.

Thankfully this past weekend we had no rain but the temp was in the 50's. This coming weekend we will have temps in the 60's and hopefully sunny. We won't be out with the rest of the world shopping. We will be home with our family enjoying each other.

Beautiful weekend in Buffalo NY! No snow. Sunny & cool (45) Sunday, Saturday was gray and cool, about 40. Today is sunny & 40. We are supposed to have 55 degrees on Thanksgiving Day!

Do Ya Think winter has arrived? Well, those smarty pants in Southern California are exceptions (Why did I leave????) Here in So. Oregon it is cold and colder. The passes are going to be closed (the weather guessers predict) by Thanksgiving, and temps in the Valley will be in the 20's. We did have glimpses of the sun and it was warmish for seconds; but it is here. High of 42 low tonight 36.
