Help picking white wall and ceiling paints

I have three rooms I'm going to paint. My wife likes it simple, but I want as much character I can get out of white on white. I want to go with a eggshell warm white (not much sunlight hits these rooms) and maybe the same warm white on the ceiling but in a semi-gloss. What do you think? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I only like flat paint on my walls, ceiling. Gloss I use for wood. Why do you want a shiny ceiling?

semi gloss on ceilings( unless they are perfect) is a bad idea

oops, I just saw this & was going to suggest you add a little Grey Owl to white so that the ceiling wouldn't make the trim disappear. It sounds luscious!

Why not just the same white but in a Matte finish it will look different than the trim if you do the trim in semi gloss or if your space is contempoary even high gloss Do the ceiling and the walls the same matte

Bittersweet stem looks like a strong option. I was also looking at SW Ivoire. I tried a Malibu Beige on a patch of the wall today and it was horrible. Looked like gray putty. Again, no direct light past 10 am.

I ended up choosing SW Pearly White. it is a creamy white in the sun and a very light greige on cloudy winter days. I am looking for photos (it is our summer house) I will post as soon as I find a photo from last summer. Seapearl was recommanded to me by 2 paint store when I was looking. Our entire interior was painted BM Swiss Coffee at 50% (making it a bit lighter). It is a really nice creamy white without too much yellow due to only 50% tinted.

eggshell and semi gloss are finishes, not colors. It sounds as if you are saying, eggshell is a warm color. There are soooo many whites. Just plain white on white is very sterile and IMO cold. If its a busy room or stair wall, I would do a slight "warm white" with an eggshell finish on the walls and a flat white on the ceilings. (flat is best for covering up imperfections on the wall, buts not washable in any way. If the room is not a busy room with kids and pets etc, you can get away with flat paint which is most hiding of imperfections but not washable at all.
