What do you do first thing in the morning?
Comments (65)Make my "turbo-hot" (STRONG coffee!) at 4:45-5 am. Trip on kitties who are expecting me to share some half 'n half. Sing "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood" (remember Mr. Rogers?) to 2 of them, and tell them to go out and have themselves "an adventure." Feel guilty for not letting the 3rd out because a neighbor complains that she keeps peeing in her flowerbed near her front porch. She asked me to keep this kitty on a leash. :0( I DON'T THINK SO. Turn on the computer and check out GW/Rose forum and IM our son who is stationed in Guam (Navy). Throw on some shorts/jeans and t-shirt and go walk around the gardens. I sell mixed bouquets locally, so I bring a big container and scissors/thorn stripper with me if I have orders for that day to bring to work with me. Then I arrange them and finish getting ready for a day at my school (I'm a Teaching Assistant all year long). Wish I didn't have to do ANYTHING other than be in our gardens! :0) Phyl...See MoreOne more thing I saw that was a good seller -

Comments (37)The first thing I completed believe it or not was socks. They were one of the main reasons I started knitting I saw all these cute toasty warm pretty little socks and just wanted to see if I could make them. I have them down now pretty well. I'm now enjoying many other projects as well. Currently working on a few things. I like to have a couple to a few projects at once going on in case I get bored of one I can switch to another. I'm currently making "gift" scarves with soft yarn in a loose knit and beads strung at the end, a few shawls? in similar style and a cable blanket..... I'm looking to start some gloves and a few more socks and a intarsia or fair isle ? blanket and am currently looking for a nice knit beret pattern. :)...See MoreWhat was the first thing you chose for your kitchen?
Comments (56)I just posted my almost done kitchen recently. The cabinets are a similar to robin's egg blue and the backsplash and paint will be white. Marble counters with white vintage sink. I realize that this type of kitchen isn't for everyone, but I definitely did pick something that enhances my mood everytime I spend time in it. The way I figured out it would make me happy was to go through SO many magazines and books. For a year. It was easier for me b/c I knew I wanted the style to match the house......then whenever I saw a kitchen with painted cabinets I thought it was so beautiful, but I could never do that. Literally, when I saw these pictures my heart would leap in a happy way. For a while I thought I was going to do an all white kitchen that would be like a canvas and I'd add accent colors that would make me happy. I was settled on that b/c it was rational. All the while I was still looking through magazines and books, trying to focus on white kitchens, but whenever I saw a colored kitchen I'd almost stop breathing. All of a sudden I took the leap and committed to permanent color and I couldn't be more happy that I did. Here is a link that might be useful: My Kitchen...See Moremyownstyle13
