Christmas & Bday arrived today...BIG MIELE NEWS. Little Giant BIG!!
Comments (94)I never wash my down beds - that clumps the feathers ! I do hang them out in the winter to fluff them up ! Like the German story for children : Frau Holle :) I guess it is a preference :) but Germans never wash their down comforters ( they usually cost about 300 dollars and upward , depending on the feather fill ) I just got rid of some my mom used to have about 45 years old !...See MoreMiele Little Giant Rinse 3 of 3
Comments (16)Larsi- In all honesty, I notice little difference. I do have mechanically softened water, and I measure my detergent by Tablespoons. I almost always use the extra rinse, anyway. I do love a splashy rinse, though, just for fun! I have not found that the rinse levels are terribly low. I am not sure if your Miele does this, but on mine, the first 5-10 mins of the cycle are monitored for water intake and the time it takes between top ups. It uses that to judge the size and weight of the load. After that, wash times, and rinses are adjusted by size of load. My rinse water levels are based on that sensing. Full loads get a medium rinse level, just up to the edge of the boot. Smaller loads have some what less, but not as little as the main wash. I have seen it do a high level rinse on a really large load of towels. Cottons cycles have a pretty good, hard spin between rinses, which helps rinsing dramatically. Water is becoming more expensive here, and I just got a teenager added to the household, so I wanted to try to cut back on the rinses to save some water. So far, so good....See MoreMiele Little Giant Cottons Uni Program w/large load

Comments (19)Here's a W1 during the Steam Smoothing portion of the Shirts cycle. Steaming is clearly audible at 11:00 minutes. The video says: "A video of the first "Shirts" (and a few stray socks) programme in the Miele. The Twindos got everything nice and clean, and using the stains option successfully removed some tough make up stains. The Steam Smoothing at the end seemed to work a lot faster and more furtively than my previous machine - steam was flowing out of the detergent drawer!" Here's the matching dryer steaming at 2:25 minutes. "Tried the "Steam Smoothing" programme in my Miele TKR 850 WP dryer today and very pleased with the result - no need to iron! These shirts were previously in the "Shirts" programme in the Miele washer which smoothes them with steam. This programme in the dryer sprays them with further water before drying. The dryer uses water for this from the condensed water container - since water is drained out directly to the sink I've had to purchase some distilled water to put in this - the manual strongly advises against using tap water high in lime content, which mine is. At the end you'll see the shirts came out relatively wrinkle free- certainly fine for work wear. I might still iron a special occasion shirt thought ;)"...See Moregeorgect
