Area rugs- size to go under king bed
Comments (8)I have a 10x13 under my king sized bed. Right now it's centered under the bed, but in a previous house, it was off center with a runner on the other side. I think it's a good size. There are a few feet of rug showing on either side of the bed and at the end. The "top" of the rug goes to just before the bedside tables, so the tables are sitting on the wood floor. To me it seems like just the right size. I think a 6x9 (or so) accent rug would also work well if you're just looking to put some color in the room....See MoreDo I have room for a king size bed?
Comments (14)The entrance to the room is actually opposite this wall where we have a tv mounted and oddly enough a second door that serves direct to what was once used as a nursery. We will likely close that door up but not thrilled by the idea of having my bed on the same wall as the entrance to the room for some reason, Feng Shui of sorts...See MoreConsidering a new bed - questions about king size
Comments (28)We went from a King to a Queen. We downsized houses and our Master bedroom is smaller. The King just ate up the room and I also HATED putting sheets on the King. To make it easier to figure out which side was the top/bottom or side/side of the fitted sheet, I got sheets that had an up and down pattern. I decided to get the Queen and we personally like it so much better! We got a flanged bed from Wayfair-it is a platform-upholstered headboard and all the way around-so no sharp corners and is very sturdy. Hubby is 5'10 and I'm 5'4" so we fit in the Queen really well....See MoreNeed a king sized bed, any ideas?
Comments (42)Any feedback about cons of having a King bed? Fewer bedding options. I'm extraordinarily picky, apparently, when it comes to linens/decor/houses/clothes/whatever, and I find that there are fewer selections of king-sized bedding (as opposed to queen). I actually have a queen-sized bed, but I buy oversized duvets and quilts for it. My husband has been reluctant to upgrade to a king, knowing that I already buy King stuff... If we trade our queen for a king, *poof* there goes my entire "look." :-(...See More- 8 years ago
