How do you make up a king sized bed?
Comments (30)I'm also a two king pillows with cases and two king pillows with shams user. Everything is white cotton or white matelasse, with a solid yellow quilt folded across the bottom. Our walls are yellow and the bed is against the wall. We have no headboard or footboard. Kitty cat sleeps on the yellow quilt every night. I also relate to your disappointment! I literally cried when my bed was delivered and set up, and called my sister on the phone I was so beside myself! I thought it looked so big and awkward and awful. I concluded I'd made one big honkin' mistake, and couldn't imagine *how* I could make such a thing actually look attractive. A little over six years later now, and I regard our king-sized bed as one of the best purchases we've ever made! Within a few months of living with it and adjusting my eye to it, I loved it, both in terms of how it looked in the room and how it functioned as a wonderful, dreamy place to sleep! I hope you find yourself with a transformed perspective too, Sonicmom....See MoreBed Size: King or Cal-King?
Comments (5)We had a cal king and it was a PIA to find bedding. I would go with the King, after your eye gets used to it, you won't miss those 4 inches at all. We dropped sizes from a Cal King to a Queen now THAT was an adjustment, but I love being able to stay warmer at night and the bonus is bedding is less expensive. Rule of thumb, function over form. If it will work better for you, go with the king....See MoreWhat Size Pillow Shams for King Size bed?
Comments (13)@anglophilia, we have a lot of pillows too! I sleep on 2 and DH sleeps on 1-2 and hugs another. Right now my setup is awful, but I usually put 3 standards in back, topped with 2 kings, then 2 standard shams, then 1 accent. DH hates all the pillows, but we I use a king and standard and he uses all standards. It's such a mess to make the bed and look nice. I think with a setup like my mockup photo, I could hide our old smushy standard pillows behind the king shams if needed. Then add king pillows in white pillowcases, then a couple accent pillows. I want to break up the sham and duvet pattern since they are the same....See MoreI want details about a king bed sold by Design Tree Home
Comments (2)Overall Dimensions - WDH: 81.5" x 87.5" x 55" 1) Can you confirm the height is 55'? It doesn't look like it in the picture. What height is the mattress on the pictures? - yes the height is 55" and the mattress height is 14.5" 2) Mattress space? - enough space for a king size bed (76"x80") 3) Side rail dimensions? - 83" 4) Distance from top of side rail to floor? - 15.5" 5) Does it include 3 middle support legs? - includes one support leg for the center...See Moresas95
