So happy for the gardeners who are getting rain. I heard on the news the other day that we are not getting either El Nino or La Nina this year as previously thought. After checking the temperature in the Pacific Ocean, the weather forecasters (I want to call them the weathermongers, with some affection) have declared it will be La Nada, meaning nothing, no ocean effect. I am really not making this up.

OMG, your temporary kitchen is great. Ours is crap. We are doing the kitchen, den, 1/2 bath and expanding the laundry room which is basically the back 1/2 of the house. So everything from there is now in the front 1/2 of the house and it is a zoo. I have dishes to wash in my bathroom sink. Also, this dirt and dust is killing me. They've been trenching in the slab for plumbing (I think that is done now) and it's just gross! We started last Thursday, so we are day 8. Tomorrow drywall in the kitchen and the electrician is coming back. Jealous of your kitchen set up!

Last week we were hitting record high temperatures - like way high and as of Saturday we're back to rain and cool. In that time though I, and I think everyone else judging by the traffic at the garden stores, managed to get the gardens cleaned up and prepped for the summer. We can't plant annuals for another month though.

OMG, my friend was over the moon about the quilt! He said over and over how much he loved it, then he started saying, "This was his favorite shirt! This is the one he wore at our wedding!", etc. Then he cried. Then we spent a while longer reminiscing about where they were and what they were doing when he got the other shirts. He was so happy!
