Simplicity or Bad Boy
Comments (4)Agree with above on the Bad Boy. I bought the CZT 60" in 2011. Its been rock solid to date. I would recommend that you pay the $400 or so to upgrade the seat to their top of the line Grammer adjustable seat. Trust me you won't regret that upgrade.. You can mow wide open at top speed and soak up the bumps like riding in a Cadillac....See MoreOpinions on a Bad Boy ZTR Purchase
Comments (26)"WARNING" Seriously, If you buy a car you drive it before you buy it! "I wish that I could have had a test drive.. The BAD BOY is heavy duty and has all the bells and whistles, BUT, BUT, BUT that is where it all ends. It does not mow grass worth a penny! I should post some photo's. The center blade was designed wrong because the pulley had very little V belt coming in contact with it and it slipped and my lawn gets the MowHawk cut, so I have to make a second pass using one of the out-side blades. "Very time time consuming" I contacted Tractor Supply and they refereed me to the manufacturer in which gave me bad advise. They told me to tighten the belt as tight as I can possibly get it and that will do the job. NOPE! Like I said bad advise directly from Bad Boy, the belt broke and I bent the bolt on one of the pulleys. I called them back and I was told that I tightened it to much and that it was my fault. I informed the tech with Bad Boy that the Idler pulley needed to be redesigned to get more belt on the center blade. I felt like I was ignored, so I went to the drawing board and redesigned it my self and it help about %50 but the center blade still leaves a MoHawk. My opinion: Buy a Bad Boy if you want to look good.. But not to mow grass because my orange lawn mower should be yellow like a lemon. I hope the Bad Boy manufacture reads my review and opinion and contacts me to make this right. I feel that I got took for over $5,500.00 of my hard earned money. This is why I don't shop Tractor supply as much as I used to. Once they corrected the mistake, Why not do a re-call? I saw the newer Bad Boy Lawn mower like mine, and Lord and behold they also made the change to the pulley problem just like what I did. So maybe the tech listened to me after all. I purchased my Bad Boy pretty much when it first showed up at Tractor Supply. Comments (25)I agree that pencil on labels lasts long. It doesn't fade out, but they rub off easily. When you pull out the tag you want to wipe off the dirt, and then your label is gone. You can go get more expensive things, but I am cheap. I buy rolls of tags that go for about 2 cents each MOL. My secret to long term labels that are cheap, write a bunch of tags out all at once and then I dip them in a can of polyurethane. Thats lasts until the tags fall apart about 10 years later when you try to pull them out and they break in two....See MoreAnyone marry a Bad Boy?
Comments (12)Well, I guess you could say that my DH is a reformed bad boy. But I didn't know much of his past before we got involved. He is the dearest, sweetest man I've ever known and I am blown away by some of the things he tells me he has done and been through in his life. Our paths have run parallel to each other all our lives, but we never met until we were in our late 30s. We went to the same grade school and junior high school and never met (he did know one of my brothers). When we were teenagers his girlfriend lived around the corner from me and I never saw him. We even lived on the same street when we were married to our first spouses and never met. He came from a very abusive home and I suspect that most of his bad boy behavior was rebellion against that. He stole his first car at 14 (trying to get to his grandparents home in Oklahoma from California). He ran away from home many times. Spent a year at a boy's ranch (sort of like juvenile hall). He was actually asked to leave the Army. He often tells me he wished we would have met when we were younger, but I was Miss Goody Two Shoes and I'm sure I wouldn't have given him a second look. But he is not the bad boy he once was. He is truly my best friend and we both know how lucky we are to have found each other at long last....See Moresocks
