Comments (21)We actually bought it last year when we first moved in. Loved the leaves, thought it died in winter. My dh is the green thumb, and he kept it potted. I started watering it first of spring, and just recently all these flowers busted out. I don't know if I should add it to one of my garden beds we've begun or just keep it potted. But it was certainly a surprise. I didn't have it recorded, since it was one of the first we bought, so I had to search images to see what it was. They are beautiful :)...See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Wed Nov 16
Comments (6)I love your picture, Schoolhouse! It really has a wonderful feeling to it. It attracts and yet you know it's really cold out there! I lived in Baltimore for 14 years and I was very close to Pennsylvania. I loved taking a drive up through the countryside and seeing the Amish and their horse and buggies. I guess because for me it harkens back to another, simpler time there is something that really draws me in. Thanks for bringing back that memory for me today! Mine is a picture of me with the 15lb salmon I caught on a really fun trip to Alaska....See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Wed Nov 30
Comments (14)The lady in the photo is none other than Lily Langtry. Many years ago I was shopping and saw the photo being used as just a stock photo in a picture frame that was for sale. I recognized the portrait right away as I had always admired the PBS production of "The Jersey Lily" and had researched Lily Langtry. Anyway, I asked the store clerk if I could have the paper (photo) inside the frame but not buy the frame. LOL He looked at me like I was crazy, and I tried to explain my excitement. He gave it to me! I took the "photo" to a framer and had it properly matted and framed. True story. murraysmom, I like that pic. What a sweet expression on the dog's face....See MoreI'll Show You Mine If You Show Me Yours - Wed Nov 15

11 years agoSmudge went in for his regular checkup today. Every couple of weeks he gets blood work done to monitor his hyper-thyroid. Prior to him getting in the carrier, Roxie jumped in. I had to coax her out of it.
Smudge gained 2 lbs since he was diagnosed, and she doesn't want him to gain any more. He's doing great. But now she hears a heart murmur and his heart is racing so she's concerned about high blood pressure. If his thyroid is behaving and he gets to cut back or come off of that, and his blood pressure is still high, he'll be put on that. He also needs dental cleaning done, but at those prices, that's not going to happen soon!

The most inventive costume at our party this last weekend.
It didn't get it until I saw the broken steel cable and the caption on her back reading "Property of the U S Army" then I laughed out loud.
