I don't have a lighthouse, but I have this creek. Taken while hiking to a waterfall with my sister:

Dawn, my husband and I love hiking in places with those types of creeks. So pretty.

The lady in the photo is none other than Lily Langtry. Many years ago I was shopping and saw the photo being used as just a stock photo in a picture frame that was for sale. I recognized the portrait right away as I had always admired the PBS production of "The Jersey Lily" and had researched Lily Langtry. Anyway, I asked the store clerk if I could have the paper (photo) inside the frame but not buy the frame. LOL He looked at me like I was crazy, and I tried to explain my excitement. He gave it to me! I took the "photo" to a framer and had it properly matted and framed. True story.

How nice of him to give it to you. Nice story. When things we love have special stories and memories to go with them, they produce extra enjoyment.

gyr_falcon - I find settings like that so calming and peaceful. It just makes the entire day right.

That bee is amazing - the camera sees all those tiny pieces of pollen that our eyes don't register. It's a wonder it can still fly!

In all honesty, I'm not sure the bee was 100% healthy. It was a nippy morning, and there were only a few other bees actively working the cactus flowers. He was rather lethargic, from cold or other reasons. He made me think of the poppies in Oz, and that he was beginning to dozed off. Normally I believe they clean off the pollen from their eyes and body regularly.

Aw, probably working herself to death for the good of the hive. :(
