Hi Leon, Hmm, maybe but you know you will be adding even more Sodium carbonate, along with what's already in the Tide, and since the oxygen bleach in Tide has an activator which means it will work at lower temps, you will need to get the water temp up to hot for the oxiclean to work its magic comparable to Tide with Bleach. Leon I can see this working yes..just be sure you get a good rinse. I used to use Regular Tide with Biz often and as long as I used extra hot water I had amaxing results.

I know Tide with Bleach HE is getting hard to find, actually I don't know if I've ever seen it.

Have you ever heard of Tide Professional with Oxi? It doesn't say HE but it must be since its produced for Hotels, others have had great results using it in FL. It does have a scent in the box but after washing it just smells clean, hotels don't like their textiles to have a scent. Its also loaded with oxygen bleach. Only problem is you have to order from Amazon and its pricey..I found mine at Ollies discount store for less than half the price..where do you live? Do you have Ollies?

No, no Ollies here. But I did find a store that sells professional products for industrial use and it's open to the public. They sell Tide Pro there. I'll take a ride there tomorrow and check it out. WalMart is the only store here that sells the powder that I use. Most times I go there, they are out. When they do have them I buy them 2 at a time. I do a lot of laundry and they go quickly. I am on Maui in Hawaii, shipping things here is expensive.

PS. My front load washer has option for 5 rinses, that button is always pushed on.

That Tide pro with oxi is even better than reg tide with bleach, it has more oxygen bleach and its formulated to be less alkaline, with a near neutral PH to keep hotels bedding spotless and lasting longer. maybe someone else here will have something to say about it. But it comes in 140 load boxes..so unless a FL'er has friends or family that want to split it you may not want that much at a time lol.

From what I was told, Tide with Bleach HE powder is only available at Walmart. Walmart told me they have the exclusive on it :( If you use a MAX of 2 TBS. you can get away with regular Tide with Bleach powder in a front loader! It is a very good product!!!

If WalMart is the only place that carries Tide With Bleach powder, I won't be getting it anymore. After being there 2 days ago for something else, I will NEVER, EVER go back again. What a horrible place. Their reputation escaped my memory for a senior moment, also. The sad thing is it is only about 3 blocks away. NEVER.

larsi, what brand of powder would you buy if you couldn't get Tide?

Walmart and Sam's club are both places I refuse to go. They make me sad and my car always gets dinged. Not much savings. Costco is clean with happy employees as is Target.

I shop at Walmart a lot. Can't afford Target for most of my shopping. Wish I could.

Kroger has Tide with Bleach powder but I don't think it was HE. I usually buy regular powder as I can use less for the same results with less scent. The HE doesn't suds less in soft water or clean any better. It's confusing.

@ Pat....I have at least a 5+ year supply of Tide HE Original Scent (the real Original Scent powder :) If and when I run out, I would probably use German Ariel Powder (HE by default.. being European, as almost no one has or has ever seen a top loader USA washer).

I also think Cheer powder is awesome, and it is now "HE" safe. It smells very clean, really cleanses fabrics and protects colours. I find it sudsy though!

Pat, Meijer in Mi carries the HE powder. I used to buy it there when I lived in Ann Arbor. When I was up this fall I bought some to stock up, it works great. But that smell.....

@Larsi.. I joke that they probably just slapped the HE logo on the box. It probably didn't change. But beyond that.. I love the stuff. Smells great, and seems to clean well.

I use two tablespoons (per load) and a huge 80-Load box was only $8.99 at Target.

It does suds but it usually rinses well IMO

Yeah george I only use about that much in my TL SQ and would only use it for one or two loads. That's way to big.
