Jet.com is now free - no membership fee now

There was a post asking about Jet.com a few weeks ago, and I replied that my experience in ordering with them had been perfect; no issues at all. I just got this email from them, since I had signed up for a free trial membership. This is not an endorsement, just an FYI, if you are interested.

"We have some
exciting news to share today. Membership at Jet is now free for everyone.
Yes, that’s right. Free. You can continue using your current membership to
shop Jet as much as you want, for as long as you want, without paying a fee
for your Jet membership.

We’ve been thrilled by the positive response to Jet since
launch. Our customers are building bigger carts than we expected, taking full
advantage of our dynamic pricing engine to shop smarter and unlock more
savings. Now, without a membership fee, we are opening up the power of the
Jet platform to even more people."

M3D, did you find the prices of what you bought comparable to what you can buy locally, or elsewhere? I did a quick check and the brand of TP we use is just short of two dollars more with two less rolls than what I pay.
Jet doesn't carry my favorite brand of liquid laundry detergent, but they did my second and it was just short of five dollars more for the exact same size.
I'm sure it depends on where you live, but for the here, their prices are high.

I compared Jet's prices to some of my regular Amazon Subscribe & Save items. Some were lower, some higher. Thanks! my3dogs, I registered, but don't see a way to save items on a wish list for later - there's not a way to do this? If not, they should add.

Thanks for sharing the site & news that registry is free right now! I do hope that when the USA reforms health care (it will happen SOMEDAY), that they take into consideration instances where donations of blood marrow, organs, etc. are needed and cover the costs for donors. Back when I was young and healthy I would've volunteered but I didn't have money and my insurance didn't cover the donor. Now, I can't donate anything anyway, because of the cancer.

I've only bought from them once, and I usually buy from Amazon. But in every case, the item I bought was also on Amazon, and when I clicked the link to compare prices, Jet was always less in the household things that I bought.

A friend of mine laughs when I do my price comparing, but between Amazon and now Jet, I am able to beat the prices at my local Maine Target and Walmart. I hate shopping, and work LONG hours this time of year, so it's great to have the stuff delivered right to me door.
