Comments (3)After I posted my question, I went to another folder and saw what Mike and Elmer saw. My original try was for an iPhoto folder; maybe you can't see photos on this folder. Anyway, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and I'm trying to figure out when....See Morewindows 10 feature update my computer started acting up
Comments (11)In Edge, clicking on three dots at upper right of screen or Alt-X sequence brings up the menu. Click on Settings, General, then scroll down, you come upon options for downloads. Where to save, and whether to have a pop-up ask what to do with a triggered download. I've long found it useful and easiest to create a first tier folder called C:\Download folder. That way, I can quickly get to anything that's been downloaded without having to click, click, click through unneeded layers with obscure names in the folder tree to get to what I want. Additionally, with Alt-X or the three dot entry method, another selection is Downloads. Click on that and you can see downloaded file history, open a downloaded file, examine the folder it is in through WIndows Explorer, etc....See MoreMy Windows 10 computer no longer lets me burn playlists.
Comments (6)Thank you all so much! I found Burnaware very easy to use, and so far, the sound quality seems quite good--not that I would be able to appreciate the finer points of it when driving on the freeway, but I know I'm going to enjoy this. To my disgust, I did find that many of the songs I have in iTunes (ALL of which I have either ripped from disks I bought myself or bought from iTunes over the years!) have been converted to MPEG-4 (.m4p), "protected," and cannot be dragged into the playlist window for Burnaware. Perhaps I have just been looking in the wrong folders or something, but I have to take time to go over them all and figure out which ones have been rendered inaccessible, and, possibly, why. (Maybe if I rip them back off of the CDs I burned using iTunes in the good old days when it all worked simply and easily, they will change into files I CAN drag into Burnaware. That would be a great nuisance to handle, but worth the trouble in the end. Anyway, I will report back here if I can figure things out. While looking for a music playing app in the Microsoft store, though I wasn't aware of clicking on anything, Groove Music showed up on my PC, and I liked it, so I installed that, too. But, of course, it doesn't help with creating playlists to burn. Has anyone else experienced what I have with iTunes putting songs out of commission, so to speak? I will also try Richard's suggestion to try burning very slowly. By the way, until I came directly to this site tonight, I didn't know I had answers here because Houzz didn't notify me. Has something changed. Any ideas what I can do to fix it? Feeling much happier tonight than I was a couple of days ago, thanks to you all....See MoreQuestion about using Gmail while on Google Chrome on Windows 10
Comments (12)Tabs, tabs, tabs! I usually have multiple tabs open, including Gmail. When I open the main forum page here I open all the threads that I want to read in separate tabs and close each one as I finish that thread. If I'm shopping on Amazon, Zappos, etc. I open each item that I want to look at in a separate tab. That makes it easy to go back and forth while I'm comparing them...See Moreravencajun Zone 8b TX
