Need help choosing listello for master bath

We are in the middle of a DIY renovation of our master bath. I have narrowed down the listello to two choices. The solid colored one is grayish glass but has a wavy surface to it. Color matches granite well, which will also be used for the threshold and window sill in shower. The multicolor one has clear glass, light gray and dark gray, both in the granite but also has some ceramic tiles which has a little wisp of color. Shower door will be 30 " and there will also be a 39" stationary glass panel, so I want the listello to pop.

Vanity granite is Bianco Antico, tile is 12"x24" Arona Bianco in Natural, which will also be used on bathroom floor. Vanity is solid white wood.

Listello will be 4" wide, and will be installed about 5' up the shower wall which is 8'.

Either choice will work. The gray glass one will provide some shimmer which may add more elegance than the other mosaic. The multi-color one will provide some contrast. I tend to like contrast so I would probably go with that one. My DD picked a mosaic for her bathroom that has a similar color scheme (in a small square version) as the one you are considering. Her wall tile has a bit more gray in it than yours but maybe this photo will help you envision what your multi-color one would look like. She made her stripe more than 4"

She also used the mosaic as the backsplash for her counter.

We recently finished renovating our master bath. Now we are working on master bedroom. We painted the walls a soft grey. We are installing white wide shutters. We are looking at engineered wood 8" wide planks in a light wood color or a grayish color (light). Are wide planks the "it" thing now vs thin wood? Trying to decide if we should go with a grey wood floor or light wood color? The top photo is a sample we are considering.The second photo below is from our bedroom entering into our master bath. there are two sample floor pieces we are considering that are in the grey family. The flooring in the bedroom (porcelain tile) will be torn up- contractor installed the incorrect color- it was supposed to match the bathroom. Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. we need to decide by this Wednesday.

I like color in my bedroom - that is just personal preference and my choices are not in the more modern gray tones. I might have that same bedroom furniture - and I have gold trim in my bathroom:) My bedroom is light blue and the bathroom walls are a white with a gray undertone - goes with the tile. I think lots of colors are possible. If you prefer some of the more modern "grays" SW Sea Salt has a green / blue cast to it that could be pretty in the room. I don't have an opinion on which one would look best but I would like to suggest that you go wider than 4 inches for your listello. Such a narrow strip of accent tile gets lost. Really not much there to catch your eye. I go at least 10 inches... But I'm spending your money lol. Seriously, if it's in the budget I'd really consider going for a more substantial look.

I'd go with the uniform glass because it is more classic IMO. Those multicolored glass strips were "in" a few years ago in my area and are already gone.

I love the wavy glass - I think it will stand the test of time better. I also second going a bit wider than 4" on an 8' wall! I think the minimum I would go would be 6".

I am not sure the accent is necessary. If you pick one, don't pick an arbitrary width. pick a width that won't leave you with a sliver of the larger field tile. Pick a width that gives you only full height field tiles or close to a full tile at the top.

I'd go with the wavy one. The other one really is dated already.

The vanity was installed today and we have definitely decided to go with the wavy one. It looks much better color wise and looks more elegant. As far as the width, because of the window placement, and the 24" tile, the most space we have is 6". I know that is less than what most think we should use but we had a narrower listello in there and it was ok. If we went 10-12", then we would have to adjust the layout of the tile. I think it will work with 6", we will see. I am very happy with the granite and threshold. Both have movement in them and the fabricator worked with me to get the best use of the movement area. Hubs starts laying floor tile tomorrow.
