not blooming in october.. but still fun!
Comments (3)I got the first three from a nursery in Holland (esveld) that the guys from my greek forum have been talking about placing an order since spring! He has a lod of rhododendrons ecc but not many tropicals, mostly hardy.... I think I may have mentioned what I got in another thread but I will post pics anyway as they flower.. The tab. africana I got from ebay (someone in hawaii) And the pancratium maritimum was a gift from a member of my greek forum. It is native here in Greece but also considered threatened and she found a couple of uprooted bulbs by the sea (by tourists or cars), when the bulbs multiply I'd be happy to share them w/you all if you don't mind the wait!...See MoreBlooming in October '16!
Comments (26)Thanks, Mike! You're way better at orchids than me though. :) This orchid grew in our south facing kitchen window over the winter and has been growing outside under the dappled light of a brugmansia since spring and has pretty much been neglected except for being hosed down when we water. I was shocked to see two flower spikes. I'll bring it in when nightime temps are in the 50's. I normally don't spray my plants when I bring them in though I probably should. If I see any pests I'll spray with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and Neem oil. I do use lights. I have some T5 lights in my bedroom and shop lights in the basement....See Morestill blooming in October
Comments (3)It does look like a catharanthus roseus from the pictures I looked up online. I live in Iowa, so it sounds like my plant will freeze sometime in the next few weeks....See MoreBlooming in October
Comments (6)I like that bicolor seedling! Especially since it is blooming so late! And that very tropical looking plant is awesome. Is it growing in a pot?...See MoreRobert (zone 7a, Oklahoma)
