I'm still trying to post photos :(
Comments (10)Thank you Mantis..I have no idea what the problem is now.Kay, helped me by sending instrutions on how she does it,and I done it and it worked perfectly one time, aint worked since.I upgraded to the windows 8.1 as I was told it makes things easier, but, now,I can't do nothing.everything I try flops.I asked photobucket for help to upload my photos and haven't heard from them either.I can post by using this browse feature here, but,its so slow this way,as when I pull up my photos on file in the pc,and click the one I want to post, each time,I have to hunt to get to that file again.its just a mess, but, so easy when I can upload photos to the bucket and post from there. jean...See MoreI will try to post one photo
Comments (12)Kay, glad to see you got Jelly Roll Morton posted it appears the new update is finally settling down. If I recall, every time Houzz does this it takes a few days and then things work. I wonder if our complaining helps? Sherry...See MoreIs anyone having problems posting photos?
Comments (3)Ophoenix, many folks have mentioned having issues posting photos, especially in the original post. It seems to be easier in follow up comments, but it is truly frustrating and has been going on for weeks without Houzz seeming to be working on a fix despite many comments about it. That is a stunning set of flowers, so I am glad you persisted and were finally able to post them. Roxanna, sometimes a post can get delayed for some reason between the writing of the post and its public appearance. Can you see it in the list of postings you have created on your My Houzz page if you click on Activity and then Posts? If it is in the list and you click the link to take you there, can you reach the post? Is it visible in the forum(s) you listed it in? Sometimes if you add some forums that aren’t directly related such as asking about paint colors in he landscape design forum, folks will flag it as miscategorized. It then will disappear for a bit until Houzz decides if it is appropriately placed. One way to avoid this is to carefully consider where it should be best posted and not necessarily add all three possible forums and instead only post on the single most appropriate forum....See MoreHow I solved my problem posting photos!
Comments (4)I always save a downsized copy of my photos for posting online. I can't give you pixels ;cuz I don't know anything about that but I down size the photos to 8 inches on the longest size. It's always worked well for me. And yes, I always save them as Jpegs. But I never just change the originals or raw images. The smaller images are copies. I keep the originals in a separate file in case I need them at a larger size in the future. I've had to use them several times for people who have requested the full size images for printing purposes....See Moremarguerite_gw Zone 9a
