Hi guyz

Just wanted to ask all the Gardenweb Community as to whether Japanese Maple Seeds in joined Mini Cell Trays need any overhead cover from Rainfall or Snowfall.I'm a little worried any inclement weather may loosen the seeds within the Cells

I have been gathering a Mixture of seeds from different trees and have been putting then in Cells with a 50/50 Mix of Perlite & Potting Compost compacting them reasonable firmly.

Are these Cells best left Exposed to the Natural Elements over the Winter Period.Would a cold Frame be of any help here or do these Seeds specifically need the Open Air.

I have tried to plant around 150 seeds in these Cells and am hopeful for some success for my efforts.Do these Cell Trays need any water misting of will natural Rainfall Suffice.

Are the Cell Trays better elevated from the Floor

Are there any additional Tips please any Gardenweb Members can offer Please to Maximise my Chances of a reasonable Germination Success rate.

Thanks as always for taking a few moments to read my Enquiry
