Need Advice - Sort of Somewhat a Little Bit Personal
Comments (48)This actually happened to me. Lived with my girlfriend for two years. She started being shady just like you described, and was hanging out with her boss from her new job concerningly too much. Then one night she finally convinced me to let him meet us out in the city (Philly) where she proceeded to get blacked out hammered drunk (not surprisingly - bad drunk). Long story short, she left in a cab with him, along with my car keys and wallet in my jacket I had previously put on her because it was the coldest night of the year. With no ride, no money, and no jacket I had to walk 14 blocks to a friends house who was luckily home at 3 am. I kicked her out a couple days later. Everything is good though, thank God, my ficus is in the gritty and healthier than ever! I love you, Al...I'm so glad I found this post (5 years later). Comments (12)That's why I only suggested it as 18" deep. I think the one in the pic looks like it's 24" deep but given how close to the doors I was suggesting for its placement, I think you'd need to go shallower or it would become a log jam area and I get the impression you're trying to correct the one you've got. ;-) Anyhoo, you should have a 43" aisle, allowing 12" for coats and hooks on one wall and 18" mudroom bench cab on the other. Just watch the aisle width close to the doors so you don't end up too tight there. Another alternative is to go with a 24" deep mudroom cab (37" aisle) and step it down to 18" as you get near the doorways. You could stack your washer and dryer on the window wall, facing the length of the room with the sink next to it under the window with cabs above W/D and window. You could run a clothes rod above the sink (this is the location I've seen suggested for hanging drip dry garments). That does put it in front of the window but that might be okay since it's temporary. If you go with a cabinet and sink instead of the stand alone wash tub, you can run ducting under the cabinet and install a vent in the toe kick of the sink cab (this is what we have in our laundry room). I think you'd want to leave at least 3' in front of the W/D so that you have room to load/unload without running into something. Then hooks on the garage wall and 18" deep mudroom cabs on the opposite wall. I have a narrow-ish, overworked laundry room/mudroom, too, so I empathize with your situation. Good luck!...See MorePersonal Laundry Techniques
Comments (16)Joel, I don't think I really have any tricks LOL.. I will say..hang darks on the line inside out in the shade Tomato based stains..rub real lemon juice on it and lay in the sun, whites only. Keep those darks DARK by neutralizing all the trace amounts of chlorine in tap water. Don't wash heavily soiled clothes with lighty soiled clothes unless your prewashing, unless you want tattletale grey on your whites. Octogan or Fels-Naptha bar soap is great for oil based stains Got a small stain on a white shirt thats going to require chlorine bleach, but you have none...paint a small dab of chlorine based D/W gel on it and wash immediatly. Line dried clothes to stiff...instead of throwing in the dryer afterwards to fluff up and lose that sunny day scent...throw them in the dryer before hanging on the line for 10 minutes, this really does work. Towel load is kicking up too much suds..wet a clean washcloth and rub bath BAR soap on it, throw it in the washer and watch the suds fall. Underarm BO odor not comming out in the wash...spray white vinigar on it, wait 30 minutes and wash Don't want Ring Around the Collar. .don't wait till you see it..treat those collars everytime you wash them even if the collars look pristine. Foot odor keeping your socks from really smelling fresh...wash inside out. Got chewing gum on your kids favorate shirt...rub BenGay extra strength on it..heat with a hair dryer...the gum should come off easily Got paint on your clothes...rub petroleum jelly on it..than wash as if you have a oil stain Rust...make a paste of white vinigar and table salt rub in into the rust and let sit 30 minutes before washing. Got a small spill on a down comforter that you don't need to wash the entire comforter for....pull the stained part up and tie a rubber band around it and just dunk the stained area in a sink of water with detergent. ..rinse and hang to dry...if you know its only on the casing you can push the down back behind the rubber band. My mind is now blank..LOL....See MoreHelp!!!! Need replacement for Sears Laundry Detergent
Comments (120)The one from target is he as I’ve bought it at least a dozen times online. It may not have an updated photo but def he. Just an old picture. It’s been reformulated for awhile so any retailer like Walmart or target is going to have updates product. There is a link on targets website to report an inaccurate listing. Might be worth checking so they can provide an updated box....See Moreaa62579
