I saw it - it did seem slightly bigger and they said that it was throwing quite a bit more light, being several thousand miles closer than usual. I was able to read some print that was slightly larger than ordinary, using a magnifying glass, but before I'd been away from house lights for a period so had not become acclimatized. ole joyful

I didn't know there was going to be an eclipse and just happened to be in Cumbria Saturday night - it was a bit of a shock when someone stepped outside to smoke and called us all out because the moon was turning red! It was totally clear and the best eclipse I've ever seen, although it started raining sometime around 3am and didn't stop the entire way back down to London!

Thanks Patty! Will check into it! Love the star drapped sky, the moon.......I did smell rose fragrance in the air, have to find out which one........will report it back the rose name...... I think the fragrant roses are Intrigue and Miss All American Beauty. Beautiful scent! :-) If I see more these roses at Walmart next year, I'd buy them all! Miss All American Beauty was from Walmart, Intrigue roses were from Breck's bargain sales-5 for $19.99.
