Zonal Geranium doesn't have zones anymore, what's going on?

Hello! This is my first time posting here, I'm a beginner indoor gardener and I've learned a lot from reading the forums and online but I couldn't find an answer to this problem.

I have a red zonal geranium I got a few months ago, it's in a Southwest (more West than South) facing window and it gave me new leaves and a couple of flowers but the zones are pretty much gone. Also, the flower buds form but dry out before blooming most of the time. I'm worried they might not be getting enough light. Has anyone had this problem? When the flower buds started dying off, I thought it needed fertilizer but the buds are still dropping. I have another Geranium that is just a regular one you find at big box nursery's, plain green and red flowers. That one has been giving me a lot of leaves and is all bushy, but it's having the same issue with the buds.

Oh, I live in Los Angeles CA

Thanks for all the help and for reading,

Jess
