How long will eggplant stay good after picking
Comments (1)About 3 days, tops, room temperature, before they start to shrivel. 7 to maybe as much as 10 days in the fridge, but best to use them in five or six days, tops....See MoreHow are the picked ripe peppers good for?
Comments (1)i'm betting that like any other fruit or veggies, they are bad when they start getting mushy and or moldy. and i'm also pretty sure that when you freeze peppers, like alot of other crisp fruits and veggies, their cells burst and when you defrost them, they get mushy. as for the flavor, I don't think it'll make a difference....See MoreTips for a good, moist, ham?
Comments (30)Trsinc: Instead of plopping the Pineapple in a dish, why don't you plop it in a Sauce Pan and make a Sauce. A lot of people like Pineapple Sauce with Baked Ham, along with the Ham gravy. They will have have a choice. We use both. Gravy is good on the Potatoes. LOU'S , SIMPLE PINEAPPLE SAUCE for HAM Empty a can of Crushed Pineapple in a Sauce Pan and start to simmer. Add a cup of Orange Juice or more later if needed and a pinch of Powdered Cloves , with a squirt of Lemon . Sweeten to taste with Sugar. Simmer til the Pineapple softens add more Orange juice if needed and thicken with Corn Starch. It will thicken more when it cools. Add what ever to taste. Should be like a soft Pie Filling. If I don't use Cloves on top of the Ham , I'll add a pinch of powdered Cloves to the Juices. Add a tablespoon of Tomatoes mushed up or a spoon of Ketsup thinned with a little water. 1/2 Teaspoon of Onion and Garlic Powder or to taste. Bring the Juices to a slow Boil and loosen the hardened stuff on the bottom of the Pan. Give it a taste test. I add a spoon of Chicken Soup Base if it has a weak taste. Thicken; to your liking , with Corn Starch mixed in cold water. It will thicken more as it cools. Happy Holiday !!! Comments (33)yep.. I had it on a stove and they ended up having to replace the stove. Now, it was their fault.. heh.. but... I had a stove that the main board went out on it a month after I got the warranty. The only thing that did not work was the self-clean aspect. They came out to replace the board and put the wrong one in. They were gone like 30 minutes and I called back telling them it was the wrong board and the stove was not working. They had already "lost the board" they had taken out. I tried to tell them to put the old board back in until the new board could be ordered. They kept ordering new boards, that would arrive at my house then a tech would come out and install it, and I kept calling and telling them they had ordered the wrong board. After about 4 weeks of this, I started to get annoyed and told them to get me a whole new stove, which they refused to do. So, I drove up to the closest store with my 3 month old daughter and told them I had no way to sterilize the bottles since I had no stove any longer and that they could explain to the news media when I drive down and show them my newborn baby...blah blah blah. I had a new stove 2 days later and they never came to pick up the old stove. WELL worth getting, even through all that. Russ...See MoreUser
