Help me make this work for my backsplash-pics
Comments (1)Chris, You are right in that all of the colors go together, but they don't work together on a visual textural or busy level. I think you could do a really interesting pattern with your first choice the 6 by 6 tile. And that would be my #1 recommendation to you. My second suggestion would be to do something you mentioned which is the 6 x 6 tile and then the ledge stone in the cooktop area. I think the mosaic is way too busy for your countertop. The ledger stone might work by itself but I believe it might be too much as well too. You have chosen a very beautiful and dynamic countertop material and that deserves to be the star in your kitchen while your backsplash is a supporting player....See MoreNeed Help With Backsplash send me some pics and names of some. Comments (4)I have to disagree with sheilaaus. It is much too busy for your granite. Your eyes would be on overload! I would pick up one of the creams in the granite. If you want to jazz it up, then do so with accent pieces. Look at the Finished Kitchen Blog. I have not been on since it has been updated, but hopefully you can see specifics, like others who have your granite and what they did. My kitchen is white, I have Grazia Rixie crema subways with my dark Giallo Ornamental granite. It is as busy as yours but different shades of brown, taupe and cream....See MoreBacksplash Help...small SS backsplash??? Pics?
Comments (8)Thanks prill...I'm leaning towards only doing tile in area to the left of the casing...then in the window area just doing paint and the casing down to the counter. I guess I'll just have to be more dilligent with cleaning. The Reef was the first tile that spoke to me...I really thought I was going to go for a more solid blue, but reef is so much softer....it allows me to play up the color of the walls more...not that I have a lot of walls...And, I found out that my designer can get it for about 12.50/sf where I was quoted around $15/sf....See MoreTurquoise subway tile backsplash...help me find tiles!
Comments (3)Nice! If you can't contact the designer of the kitchen in the photo, you could probably make your own mix. Try Fireclay for the colors (free samples online, but if you're in the bay area, go to a showroom)....See Moreoldbat2be
