murraysmom, I used the on-line recipe from Epicurious and cut them with a knife once they were set. I think they're "better" than store-bought because they're made with cane sugar... they would make AWESOME s'mores and would be fantastic in hot chocolate because they melt so quickly and nicely -- a feature that made them difficult to toast on a stick. lol! Everyone loved them, but I think they would be better if made with egg-whites rather than gelatin. :O)

bigack, I bought this puzzle not realizing it's true orientation. I was looking at it on it's side with the Nuthatch at the bottom right corner. My sister in law put it together first with that same orientation in mind, never giving thought to the fact that those are Holyhocks! They should be pointing upward, not sideways! I looked at it many times before it dawned on me.

A fox in my sister's backyard. There was a pair that made a den under her shed and had 5 kits! It was great fun to watch the babies come out and play.

On Sunday the Hunt Club held a "Hunter Pace" which is a timed trail ride on a marked course in small groups. The weather and the views were absolutely beautiful. After that they hosted the Virginia Field Hunter Championship, a judged mock hunt (no huntsman, no hounds and no foxes) going out over much of the same land, in a big group, with judges riding along determining which rider and horse have the best form.
