10 years agolast modified: 10 years agoCasey, in September of 2001, we toured all those places you have pictured of your trip . Unfortunately we are unable to separate that otherwise most enjoyable tour from the terrorist attacks that took place back home while we were there. All Canadians we came in contact with were very caring to us when they learned that we were from the Pittsburgh PA area.
I'm not sure if this is a stinkbug or some kind of weevil.

10 years agoYesterday I volunteered at a Century ride. There were three routes: 101 miles, 62 miles, and 30 miles. All covered our county's scenic and challenging (lots of hills!) dirt roads. Some of the cyclists gathered to chat before taking off. It was a great day!

Moni, people brought a variety of bikes: road, mountain, cross, and fat. Except for the fat, I can't tell the difference. :-)
Many of the dirt roads were connected by paved roads, plus they had a stretch of pavement to cover before reaching the dirt roads, so maybe that explains it. But many of the dirt roads were rough.
Here's the first group starting off. Maybe you'll recognize some of the bikes.
