Comments (41)Hi scottspond, some how didn't think she would, Florida vs Manchester, no contest really ;-) The area I live in is New Mills, in High Peak in Derbyhsire. If it doesn't ring a bell, it's just past Lyme park, Buxton is about 2 miles away, Stockport 9 miles and Manchester 20 miles (all via road) Handily the railway station is about 5 mins away from my home, so trips to Manchester are pleasent through the countyside and don't require I use the car ;-) And in summer I get to hop on the odd steam trian, every boys dream. My Mancunian mates reckon I've gone "all posh" living here, as I was born and grew up in Fallowfield and went to school in Rusholme. Regards ChrisC....See MoreAnybody having trouble with Photobucket?
Comments (10)I didn't try to edit pictures when I posted yesterday but when I tried to import them into my posting, I clicked on the HTML like I normally would and it turned blue but when I went to paste into posting, the word paste wasn't dark and it wouldn't let me do it. I tried several times but no luck. (This is when I clicked HTML under the picture). Then I scrolled down and saw the same possiblities on the left on the page, tried it, didn't work. The words more options was also there so clicked on it. It said if it didn't work click here to post to another site. Clicked on it and then went to paste and it worked. I know this sounds confusing but maybe you will figure it out when you see the page. As far as editing, I do that with the program on my computer....See MoreWindows 8 Version: Anybody Else Having Trouble Learning It????
Comments (15)It's unfortunate that they decided that they decided to make it favor a touch screen environment. I do a lot of work on my desktop. I can just get more work done on it than the laptop. My last computer had a touch screen, and I almost never used the feature. It was just really inconvenient to switch between that and using the keyboard. I was helping someone last weekend try to do something on her new computer with Windows 8 and we were both frustrated trying to figure out where things were. We finally had to switch to the new Office at work. They had to bring consultants in for 2 days of training on the differences so that we could get back to actually doing work. I just don't understand the logic of taking a program that people know well enough to use in their sleep and changing it so dramatically that it almost brings their productive output to a halt. I just see that Microsoft made more money, and our company lost money. There's no great improvement to the software that translates into time savings or improved output on our side. I have other devices with touch screens and love them, but for cranking out data and text, it's not the way to go. Sorry, rant over....See MoreAnybody having trouble getting on to GW??
Comments (15)My internet is so slow, it takes two minutes, just for me to click on a post and for me to be able to get to read it and then to post if I want, even longer. Some days it takes even longer. When it dries out, maybe it will get better. :( Sue...See Morekatyajini
