Setting crayon on fabric.....
Comments (8)Crayola makes fabric crayons that are specifically for fabric but if you can get ahold of Prang crayons they work just as well, they are soy based (I think) instead of wax and I found that their colors stay nice after you have ironed them. Some time ago, I read where you could make a "drawing shirt" You would trace or draw something with a sharpie onto the shirt. The kids could draw on the shirt with crayons and color in BUT DO NOT IRON OR THE CRAYON WILL SET and then when you want to do it again, just wash the shirt and the crayon will come out. Haven't tried it but sounded kind of fun....See MoreNo Sew Crayon Quilt Cat Swap Idea?
Comments (39)WOW! I paid WAYYYYYYY more than that for my muslin at the LQS. Planning on someday starting a Cathedral Windows, but I know I bought a ton extra, I always do. Should our 'pairs' be co-ordinating, or completely different, or either/or? If we are sending 12 strips, I'm assuming 6 would co-ordinate with each set? Or am I getting too detailed? I've been accused of that before. Faye...See MoreJust Reminder Crayon Quilt mail out date
Comments (8)OK, my kitties are all bundled up with postage and ready to go out. One thing I noticed to caution you guys about -- I messed up one (I kept that one...) but I tried to scrub off the crayon in one place (in the sink with dish soap). That worked "pretty good" but I noticed later that crayon from the pic had transferred in small smudges to other parts of the fabric. I thought I Had ironed them REALLY WELL so it made me a little concerned if people make a quilt and just throw it in the wash. I think I will use color catchers or synthrapol the first time I wash mine....See MoreAntique prints...
Comments (6)Absolutely fascinating! I loved looking through the prints. I generally like larger and more colorful prints, but from a historical standpoint, these are fabulous. My question would be about the shipping. 8,00 euros to ship to the US. I wonder how much that would be. Thanks for sharing....See Morebkay2000
