Comments (27)I hope that with the arrival of the new grandbaby, good things keep on coming your way from now on!! Congratulations to the granddaughter and have a wonderful time. It is so special the first time you hold that precious grandchild. I was fortunate and was there at the birth of my first grandson. The second one I almost had to deliver myself hahahaha But I did see the head come before the ambulance took off with them. Lucy...See MoreMy Bubba had surgery today
Comments (3)(((Springer Mom and Baby))) Good advice from Laurie, as always! When going thru similar situations, I've always marveled at how our furbabies seem to handle these things better than we could. Our cat Nikita came home after a week-long stay in the hospital (she burst her bladder after slipping and falling from the top of the wardrobe, and it was sewn together and some ugly stitches lined her tummy) - I was going crazy with worry, and the first thing she did when we reached home, was to coolly walk over to her PinkPanther, snatch him up in her mouth and hide with him in the bathroom. The vet did tell us to keep her confined to a small area for a couple of days, and then to allow her to just 'be a cat' later. She was zipping around the house at full speed in no time. You'd never know she had been thru major surgery (it was terribly 'major' for me!) I know waiting for results is really hard. Hope everything works out well. Nikita, Max and Simba send their regards to your Bubba. Let us know how it goes. Take care, Pranjal...See MoreMy pups are ONE today!
Comments (6)Happy Birthday to your guys, too! What kind of dog is Monty Man? Great Dane? We are having a gathering on Saturday. Neighbors who all walk their doggies with us will come go swimming and the doggies will be there, too. We are still trying to get Amos and Andi in the pool on their own. Amos wants to, will pick up his ball from the water and will swat at it with his front paws but puts the brakes on when it comes to going all the way in. I'm hoping when the other Labs go in, he will want to join them....See MoreHaving Surgery Today-Wish Me luck!
Comments (33)It's all over (for now). They gave me iv sedation, stuck a catheter in my arm and went to work. Found a narrowing around my shoulder, got it fixed to 9 centimeters but found a clot so they stopped, patched me up and sent me home. They'll go back in next Thursday, get out the clot, and restretch the opening to 12 cm. Well, I'm comfortable and it's all okay to resume regular dialysis tomorrow. Yes, it's very similar to angioplasty, which my husband had on his heart afew years ago. Thanks everyone for your good wishes and prayers! I love everyone on Kitchen Table. You all are the greatest!...See More- 10 years ago
