Double check my "hood math"

Do these specs look right to you? The reason I ask is that with all these specifics, I don't see a lot of choices and either I'm doing something wrong or these's not much demand in the market for this. The application is a 36" BlueStar range top on an exterior wall where the attic above has poor accessibility. My kitchen has an 8" ceiling.

  • Capture area: 48” x 27” (6” overhang each side, 3” front). 42" also acceptable
  • Style: Wall mount
  • Airflow: 1200 cfm or greater (Based on 112kBTU)
  • Blower: External (slightly less noise)
  • Exhaust Size: 10” (8" may work since the run is only a foot, but volumetrically speaking, I don't think it's ideal.)
  • Discharge: Horizontal (back side exhaust)
  • Material: Stainless steel
  • Filter Type: Baffle
  • Manufacturer Approved Height: 36” above cooking surface so 5'11" me and "mini" me teenage boy at 6'2" don't bang into it too much.
