Hi Steve, I do love the TV (great sound, picture as nice as my analogue TV downstairs with only regular cable ... both could use digital cable for a clearer picture, wonderful remote, very pretty TV but so SHINY the black that I can see my reflection... wish my TV stand was wider and taller) but I do not like the pedestal look on my Night Stand (2.5" on each side hangs and to me is distracting in the pretty bedroom) and I am seriously thinking of taking it back (but upset that the sneaky salesman has on the slip that LCD's are not returnable when he made me sign the screen without reading anything and then the person came to bring it to my car and I was very sick and when I asked to see the slip before signing, he said it was everything we discussed) and buying the 26" white Sharp LCD that swivels that was only $30 less for so much less screen with only the added swivel feature... but is in white and will not overpower the bedroom I feel. I just would have to order it from Target.com and have to pay about $26 in shipping to me and then back (UPS $26 around the sales guy said who I spoke to online at Target.com today) if I do not like the off-white color that has some gray in it. It has wonderful reviews but the Toshiba had better reviews and the reviewers are right about the sound quality on the Toshiba... it is very nice and I love the TV but it is TOO black for my bedroom and too big to me. I was sick all day and now not sure what to do. It is a beautiful TV but really stands out in my white room and I wish I could just put it in the family room an buy a white TV for my bedroom that is smaller despite the smaller picture. But my TV in my family room is only about 7 years old (Black Hitachi.. 27" that cost me $199 and looks nice to me.. heavy but not as heavy as my 14.5 year old 25" Samsung TV was). Maybe I can negotiate a deal on the extended and the 26"... I sure wish PC Richards would have the Sharp TV in white. Maybe I can ask if the can order it that way for me?

ideamom - you probably wouldn't want to pay retail for the nightstands anyway. Just keep looking for something nice to coordinate instead of match. Have you got a source for the bed yet? You can always use "decorator" side tables with tablecloths until you find something with drawers. I can't wait to see the room after you get the bed!

I hate to be such a pain in the butt, but :) I am becoming more and more indecisive as I get older. Here is another mock up. This one is 29 1/2" and 34" long. The top is a little off balance as I did the length with books, game boards and table leaves. The picture frame on the end represents a mock up of a table top perfume cabinet we're currently making (the tables are the next project) The perfume cabinet is going to be approximately 10" wide x 15" high x 7 1/2 deep. I was originally going to make it 9 x 13 x 7", but the mock-up showed me that I could go bigger. Now here's my question, why does this table look so big. It is actually almost the same size as Mona's tables, a little smaller actually, but to me they look so big. I tried taking a photo from looking down on the table, more like Mona's photo and it still looks big. When we make the tables, we'll make the tops more level than the mock up :))) I hope.... A further away shot. 34" long, why does it look so long? Is it because I am use to looking at our 20 x 20 by only 22"high end tables? Thanks for all your help.

Val - It's more of a tiny puncture. Still frustrating though. At least a didn't break the bank on the coverlet! :) I wanted to be able to close the curtains at night. The romans would mainly be for pretty. I wouldn't have to add the bamboo romans but I thought they could add some nice texture. If you look at the last couple of pics the tall dresser is moved down about to the lightswitch. I loved that brass lamp when I bought it cheap at the thrift store. I paid too much for the shade that I think is too small and couldn't return. I'm about ready to get rid of it. I don't think it looks right on the dresser either but it was basically my last attempt to use it. I'll move the round table back. I have this chair and had considered using it in the office if we ever get it done. Obviously it would need recovered. Maybe in the plaid if I keep this layout? Oh, I wanted to mention, there are character marks on top the vanity already. I don't know how that will be with the cats. I feel like I'm trying to make the vanity look like a focal point, like a fireplace, but it's not a fireplace, iykwim.
