Woke up to these this morning; I love August, that's when I get most of my flowers. Quite cool here this morning (low 40s so nothing happening outside yet). If my plants are in small pots I just bring them in so I don't miss the flowers.
The first is an unnamed Altman's Echinobivia hybrid 'Rainbow Burst'--the color is light lilac pink, no scent (sometimes you can get real treasures at the BBS); the 2nd is a Rheingold hybrid 'Sterntaler'--this flower is very small (about 1.5")

Comments (38)Love your backsplash. Did I miss what material it is? Did you say what stone/tile it is? You kitchen looks very similar to my kitchen before last - same color cab, black granite. Backsplash we used 4 diff limestones that the tile guy cut into 3x6 bricks. Still looking for a picture! I loved the look.
