skin care for gardeners?
Comments (12)Thanks - I got some cotton spa gloves and liked wearing them last night. My hands get cold at night, and I am always trying to tuck them under the blankets. :-) I am going to try the thin cotton gloves under my work gloves. I have amlactin, and aquaphor. Also have a hoof product - Hoof Alive that I forgot about until Florence mentioned it - it works really well on cracks. Will have to try some of the others (also a hand cream collector). Picked up a shea butter and mango cream yesterday, and dreamed of mangos all night. Hey, aromatherapy to go with hand therapy! It seems like neosporin will be a good thing to do as well, even A & D might help. Most of my fingers either have cracks starting from dry skin or from having to dig out a thorn. Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Michelle...See MoreAmmonia bacteria skin care.

In Phoenix in the Summer, for instance, there's a battle between the dry hot air outside, and the damp, cold air inside. You may find that you really do need a lot less moisturizer in Florida, and also that you may need to change brands. Where in NM, if it's dry, a sealing kind might be good, it could just make you sweat out all the moisturizer and have it run down your face in Florida (I haven't lived there, but I have lived in the tropics). If you can apply your moisturizer early and give it a chance to really sink in, before you change air (i.e., go outside or get in the car, etc.), you'll have a fighting chance against the ack-it's-humid-and-hot-and-I'm-sweating issue. All this is generality, however. Trial and error are going to be your best bet, once you move. You may find that your favorite products are all wrong in the new environment, and you may get zits or dry patches or new oily zones, which will settle down when your skin becomes accustomed to your new normal....See MoreDo you have a favorite skin care line for anti-aging and dry skin
Comments (6)Blue Onblue, that is amazing! Years ago, a stray cat came to us, wouldn't leave and became expectant. I knew when this would happen, my indoor cat had raised a ruckus so we noticed the event. The stray lived in the garage (hence, her name was Garage Cat or GC) and when I came home the day before the expected event, she had oil all over her back! Called the vet who said she must be bathed and to use Dawn Dishwashing soap or Murphy's Oil Soap. I had neither of those so used what I had (Palmolive and the like) but none of my stock would do more than slide off the oil slick! Husband made mad dash to grocery while I held her in the bathtub, used the Dawn and have never bought any other brand since. That was probably 35 years ago! She was small and so round and heavy that she could not fight. Came home the next day and four new kittens. Kept one and had to put down at 19 years old! Our Sugarbaby!...See MoreUser
