Lynn, Are you using 'Windows XP', 'Vista', or some other operating system? You mentioned 'Superantispyware' removing "several spywares". Have you also run a full scan with your 'anti-virus' program? If not, update and run a full scan. Something else I overlooked when I read your initial post, I see you're using AOL 9.1. I'm still using AOL 9.0 SE, so there may be some changes to the way things are done in 9.1 as far as repairing the software. I'm not even sure they have the same features in 9.1 so let's forget about 'rebuilding the AOL adapter' for now. Someone else using that version of AOL will have to jump in here. If you have the 'AOL' icon down in the system tray (by the clock) you can right click that and see what options there are. System Restore is painless and if you don't get the results you want you just 'undo' the restore. If you had any kind of virus or spyware infection and you restore to a time when your machine was infected, yes, it will restore those infections, but you can always run your anti-virus and anti-spyware applications again to remove them. I can't say for certain whether or not 'system restore' will affect your bookmarks but it is always a good idea to back up anything on your computer that you cannot afford to lose or want the hastle of having to replace. There can never be enough said about the importance of backing up important data! I use Acronis True Image which makes an image of the complete hard drive, sector by sector, that will restore everything including operating system, programs, documents, pictures, data, etc. to the 'T'. This is on a second drive in my PC in case my primary drive should fail. I also have an external hard drive where I back up 'My Documents'. No, running CCleaner again is not going to fix the problem, nor do I see where CCleaner would have created your problem, unless by chance, if you also used the 'Registry' feature in CCleaner, it may have removed something. Anytime you use any kind of registry cleaner it should have the option of making a backup in case things go wrong, which is exactly why most cleaners, some don't, have the backup option. Either that or create a 'system restore' point before you use it. Using a 'registry cleaner' is a hot topic. Some swear by them, others swear at them! I personally have use Macecraft 'Reg Supreme' for years with no ill effects. "There may have been an easier way to do this, but I just copied and pasted all the bookmarks I made_____". There is: Internet Explorer has an 'import/export' feature for transferring or backing up your cookies and favorites. Click on 'File' in the Menu bar at the top of the IE browser, select 'Import/Export', and follow the Wizard. You can save them to a file on your computer for retrieval later if you should need to do so using the same wizard. I made a folder called 'Backups' in the 'My Documents' folder where I store a copy of my 'cookies' and 'favorites'. In Firefox, I'm still using version 2.0.0.16, if you go to 'Bookmarks' in the Menu bar and select 'Organize bookmarks' and click on 'File', you'll find an 'Import' and 'Export' wizard. Drink some 'brave' juice and try the system restore first to see if that works. Witz

This is "about" a recipe as I'm not big on measuring and mostly go by taste. I usually make double batches of the 50%flour 50% grit dumplings ahead, cook, freeze and add to soup after it simmers a bit. Then simmer a bit more. Don't go any heaver on the pepperoni because it will overpower the soup, if anything go a bit lighter to start depending on the brand. If you add extra dumplings besides the basic amount below you might want a bit more crushed tomatoes or puree. The dumplings with garlic, parsley and parm act as the pizza dough crust in the soup. I use the grits in this mix so it doesn't get soggy in the sauce. Terri's meat lovers pizza stew w/grit dumplings 1 lb ground beef 1 1/2 lb Italian sausage 2/3 cup of boars head pepperoni diced (use a good pepperoni) 1 Onion 1 Green pepper 1 Red pepper 2) 28 oz crushed tomatoes or puree w/garlic 1 cup mushrooms 1 large grated carrot 1/4 or so cup cream cheese 2 T parm 2 or 3 garlic Fresh basil Fresh oregano (or use dry spices to taste) S & P Pinch of red pepper flakes Use your frozen cooked ahead in broth 50/50 grit flour dumplings at end. Simmer Basic dumplings (I always double the recipe below but you don't have to). 2 cups of unbleached all-purpose flour or fast grits mix (use 50/50 for pizza soup and add garlic) 2 to 3 tablespoons of parmigiano reggiano 1 tablespoon of baking powder 1 tablespoon of parsley 3/4 tea salt 3 tablespoons unsalted butter 1 cup of milk (warm 1/2 the milk w/butter and add the rest in increments). In a large pot bring some stock to a boil, if I don't have homemade stock I use organic Better Than Bouillon vegetable base concentrate because its not just salt water like some. After boil set to low and spoon in dumplings. I make my dumplings a bit smaller, about a rounded teaspoon size. Cook on low for around 30 minutes or until done. If freezing put the the dumplings on pans, space them so they are not touching. When they get hard throw them in some ziplocks and freeze.

Do what my mom used to do when she finally got fed up: If you left something laying around, ie, shoes, clothes, books, etc., she would put them in the trash. Seriously. She had tried everything, and with 5 kids and a husband, she was at her wits end. So she'd just chuck it in the kitchen trashcan, (a big can in those days), which would eventually be dumped into the bigger outside can. If you didn't figure it out before trash day, you lost whatever it was. She did warn us, but of course we ignored her. Didn't take long for everyone to figure out that she was serious and start putting their things away! Granted, "putting your things away" meant just throwing them randomly into your room, but it was better than having stuff lay all over the house.

BWAA! I didn't post the last little adventure in glitchen dancing. After the fridge episode, which was fixed quite successfully, we install the oven. Big panic day - it was a Friday, and we were moving in on Sat, so lots of activity at the house as everyone tried hard to get things finished for us. Stove gets installed. I look over and say "don't tell me". Cabinet guy looks at me with a scared look on his face and says cautiously... "what?". So I walk over to the drawers that are 90 degrees to the oven (we decided to write off the corner in favour of big drawers), and... they won't open!! Yes, we left a filler, but it wasn't enough... So they had to take out that bank of drawers and rebuild them - with the countertop installed, of course. I seriously think my KD totally ignored my appliance specs. So we move in with the drawers that are to take the kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and baking sheets, not there. So we ate out for a couple of weeks then went on vacation :) Things are pretty much done now (although when we came back from vacation on Sunday the final set of drawer fronts were on, however they've taken two cabinet doors off that have been on for weeks and I have NO clue why) and I was able to unpack the final two kitchen boxes last night. That felt good! Just some minor tweaking left - door alignment, decorative piece over vent hood, a shelf missing etc. Then it turns over to me to pick pendants, light for eat in area, and cushion fabric for banquette, to really get the place finished. Pretty things I just couldn't deal with when I was up to my earballs in the structural stuff, plus I wanted to see the finished product before choosing some of these elements. Even if you don't catch problems, if they know they'll see you at some point they may wait to confirm things, or suggest better/different ways to do things. You'll probably find you don't have to be there a lot.
