Are you quilting this weekend? March 7-9
Comments (18)I'm back in the sewing room a few hours at a time, finishing up on putting my quilting fabric back in order. I'm tired of fishing through bins with odd-shaped small pieces in it and decided to do something about it. I've stack upon stack of 3.5" squares now and a bag of strips and the larger pieces have been run through the mangle and folded. I'm halfway through the stacks of naturals and whites now. It was fun at first. ;-) The New Year Mystery quilt top lays draped over my small quilting frame and I've no desire to tackle it until later. Today the showers held off long enough to do some scaffold pruning on young peach trees, and get the grapes pruned. It went from too cold and frozen to almost too late in two day's time. Still awaiting inspiration for the next quilting project, but am thinking to do a new quilted purse, instead of tearing into another larger quilt yet. Linda, looks like it's showering g'kids at your place. Happy for you.......aren't they fun?...See MoreAre you quilting this weekend? August 29-30
Comments (16)No sewing for me - we arrived in England Saturday morning - and forced ourselves to stay up until 9:30 last night. I got up at 1 this afternoon - DH about 2:30! Our son arrived about 3pm (we are staying with him). After he got settled back in we walked into town then had dinner. We are all just chillin this evening. He goes back to work tomorrow, I am hoping to see if there are any fabric shops nearby - will keep you posted. I hope you all have a great time at retreat - I am sure you will!...See MoreAre you quilting this weekend? August 12-14
Comments (20)I'm breaking my rule of not posting photos but I hope I don't see it while searching images somewhere. I now know that a robot gathers those from websites and we have no control over it. I've never posted to this new site so hope it works. Anyway, if it works here is a photo of the slipcovers and pillow I made to go on it. After finishing the slipcovers I decided it had to be dressed up because of the vast amount of dark indigo blue. These are by no means professional looking but believe me, they are better than the old covers, really beat up with rips, holes and shreds after 23 years of abuse....See MoreAre you quilting this weekend? Comments (11)Donna - if you have a stop in Skayway and Ketchikan, there are quilt shops!! Have a wonderful trip. We dropped our exchange students off today for a week at our Lions camp in southern Colorado. Phew. They come back to us next Saturday then on the plane home on Sunday, the 20th. Now I have a week to get ready to get everything ready for a 2-1/2 week RV trip. DH is bicycling from Yellowstone to Glacier National Park with a friend. The women are driving the RVs and doing the cooking so the guys only have to ride. We hope to get to Casper, Wyoming on Monday, the 21st, in time to see the eclipse. I hope this week I can pull together some fabrics I need for an applique project (how I hate applique!) that I can take with me. Sue...See Moreibquiltn4fun LindaH
