How can I save a few pecans from the squirrels for my Grand Kids? I have tried all over the years and gave up. Now I would like for my Grand Kids to harvest a few to eat.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Last year I pull out and loaded my trap not to catch one squirrel and hung a bell in the tree. I tied pecans in the trap with wire and they could still get the pecans. I did hall 10-12 off a few years until I got tired plus a skunk got in the trap. I reduced the trap so a skunk could not turn on me before popping with a pellet. I tried Fox Urine. When we had small dogs they saved the Pecans. A shield on the trunk to resist climbing is no help due to too many trees, wires to jump from.

Please share some tips.
