Which side sink faucet will complement my main sink faucet?
Comments (10)oldbat2be It's a bar sink, about 14" wide and 17" deep. I considered the bar version of the Karbon because it's visually smaller but it doesn't very much reach. Do you think the Karbon would be too much at the bar sink? I love love love the Karbons at my main sink - yes I put 2 in with the big Stages sink. I started looking at other faucets because I thought I should put in something visually smaller for the smaller sink and one that should fit underneath my cabinets. I have a clearance of 18" and several of the faucets that have caught my eye are taller, almost 18" and will look too large for under cabinet. Thank you for that potfiller and soap dispenser! I just ordered them....See Moremain entrance on the side of the house can I put the door in the front
Comments (11)Can you draw a sketch of the layout? I'm not sure I understand when you say you want to move the front door to the front so you enter into the sunroom, but can't because the sunroom opens to another room. Or, are you thinking that you want to enclose the front door stoop, and move the front door out into that enclosure to face front instead of driveway? Your issue there would be zoning, if that kind of enclosed space is too close to the property line....See MoreLooking for house plans/ideas for main entrance on side of house

Check your builder's designer's credentials and references. So many come here with a builder's plan that simply doesn't work. The most important step is hiring the right professional to design your home on your very specialized lot: an architect with design talent. Not all architects are the same....See MoreMac and Cheese -- A side or a main?
Comments (48)I agree, though I'm the one who said scratch mac and cheese seemed just as easy. To me, whipping up the equivalent from scratch is just as easy. In such a case, I'd likely crumble rather than grate the cheese (as in have done so—using a food processor cheats the issue, grating cheese by hand is tedious, and crumbling works just as well). Same with throwing together a cake. I don't need a recipe, just bing, bang, boom. The hard part, the liquid ingredients, is the stuff they leave out so the "lady of the house will feel like she's baking". If it's a just add water mix, that's a different story. That really is convenient on many levels. And maybe more of the convenience comes from not having to spend the time to learn to make these things enough repetitions so that making them from scratch does seem just as easy. The only issue I have with any mixes, beyond some extra chemicals that some have, is the tinny flavor, and some people prefer the outcome and flavor of mixes anyway. Whatever floats your boat. No shame. Difference of opinion. Room for all....See Morerosesstink
