Something I've always wanted...
Comments (15)Prestonsnana, maybe they'd rust out too much in Washington to be popular there. I remember seeing them everywhere around Wisconsin when I was a kid. Very pretty red and that is a decent price for them. They were always fun to rock back and forth although they got hotter than heck in the summer sun! Around here, aqua was a popular color in these chairs....See MoreI've always had piles but......
Comments (36)Hal, I also have a dry environment. I keep the compost piles covered with plastic during the summer to try to keep moisture in, but I find that the heat of composting will dry out the pile, too. I have seen both fresh (green) grass clippings, and freshly pruned tree chippings (ramial wood) get up above 140F and dry themselves out long before they are finished composting. For the ramial wood, I'll just have to turn it when it overheats. For the grass clippings, I think I'll dilute them with more leaves to prevent the overheating....See MoreI've always hated grey, so why am I considering it?
Comments (25)Susanilz5, I could have written your original post! That's exactly how I have been feeling! 10 years ago, I would not even use taupe inside my house because it looked gray! Every light tile I brought home I didn't like because there always seemed to be a gray undertone. I didn't use white fixtures in my bathroom because I thought they looked gray instead of white! I picked out some paint chips today in the gray family, showed them to my sister and she got a funny look on her face and said, "They're too gray! That's not you!" I told her "Gray is the new beige." I actually put a post on the kitchen forum about using a gray/blue/green with my oak cabinets and only got one response--SW's anew gray (which I haven't checked out yet). However, my dilemma would be transitioning from a gray room into my other warm colored rooms and how to make that work. I'm not sure I'm capable, but I think I could get by using it in a bathroom or bedroom because they are destination rooms and not rooms connected to multiple rooms like a kitchen or family room might be. Good luck! I'll be anxious to see your results....See MoreI've always loved my Mieles until now
Comments (19)Hi does anyone have an intel on which dishwashing conditioner / cleaner works in a miele. I spent 4 hour today cleaning up our miele the filter the non return value and then doing a high temp cycle with finish conditioner (the only one i could find right away) after speaking to miele use and home care support. I wonder how often I should run the conditioner cleaner. I have read that affresh- dishwashing conditioner has a lingering smell and I don't want to have to run two loads (water waste) is finish dishwashing cleaner just as good as mieles conditioning? Finish is less than half the price! Would appreciate your thoughts. PS- I currently use Trader Joe's dishwashing detergent and Miele Rinse Aid and that works just fine for us....See MoreUser
