I've always hated grey, so why am I considering it?

It's time to repaint the entire 1st floor. I have oak floors, woodwork and cabinets, and currently the rooms are painted in BM Desert Tan, (similar to SW ivoire) and Pittsfield Buff. The powder room is Rosemary Sprig. I have a lot of light, and have no traces of blue or grey in the home except for some kitchen towels and a gold & blue valance on the kitchen window. My drapes are either chocolate or gold silk, the furniture is chocolate brown or off white. I was ready to repaint everything in Ivoire and maybe Pittsfield buff again, when I came across SW Sea Salt. It's a grey, blue, green and I really like it. The problem is it's a cool neutral, and everything I own is warm. Will this work? Am I going to get tired of it soon? That's important since parts of the 1st floor have cathederal ceilings, which means I can't just repaint if I get sick of the color, I have to hire someone.

So can a warm person who likes light and airy live with a cool neutral and like it?
