Uh oh! Better check my PlantStep. It's hard to believe Houzz tech support can't resolve your pop-up problem. I sure enjoyed seeing your slideshow. I hope you will post more photos that way.

I have not ever had a problem with PlantStep. I use Avira antivirus.

Debra: I don't think there is a virus in PlantStep, I think somehow the AdwCleaner is identifying something that triggered the quarantine. Like many antivirus programs they identify something and then let you decide what to do with the file. I'm not sure if the Tech just decided to accept the results instead of asking me what I wanted to do.

I just got an email from Houzz tech support and they are going back and checking. It is only this site and it doesn't matter what browser I use, I get the message. I'm to the point of saying Good-bye to Houzz/Gardenweb but will give it one last try to see if they can resolve it.

I'll try to upload more photos over the weekend and repost the link to let everyone know I added more photos. We are on the downhill slide now with blooms and it is suppose to get very hot and humid again next week.Lunch is over and I've got to get back to painting.

Dick: I agree. I've had PlantStep a long time and never have seen anything to indicate an issue.

If ADWCleaner is still on, uninstall it and reinstall Plant Step.

I suspect that the upgrade to Windows 10 will solve the problems with houzz. It is certainly some kind of conflict of programs causing this, and I'm not sure that houzz could find it.

I am very careful about which adware programs I use. I've discovered over time many end up causing problems by deleting too much. Even ones that are popular and many use do this. On my computer, and for everyone who's computers I fix [and I have happy repeat customers], I use: Panda Anti Virus [Avira is good too Dick], SuperAntiSpyware, Windows Firewall, CCleaner to get rid of junk files and clean the registry, and WinPatrol, which alerts you when programs want to autostart.

If you install WinPatrol, and look to see what programs autostart, there are undoubtedly some that don't need to auto run, and the culprit may be one of these. You could send me a list if you don't know which you can stop. https://www.winpatrol.com/mydownloads/

Another suggestion for Plant Step: type services in the search, then click on services. This will bring up a huge list of things running or even not running in your computer. See if your Plant Step program is in the list. See what it's start up type is. It should be manual. If it is disabled, right click and choose properties. There will be a drop down box so you can change the start up type. Choose manual [unless you need it to start every time the computer is started, then choose Automatic or Automatic delayed start]. If you want, you can click "start the service" over on the right. Close the Services window. Then try the program.

Brad: Thank you for the info. I got PlantStep back up and working last week. AdwCleaner moved it to the C drive and labeled all the files with a .vir extension. I had to use a program that will delete the .vir from the PlantStep files in bulk, reinstall PlantStep and then overlay the cleaned files back into PlantStep to get all my data and pictures back into the software. I would caution anyone on using AdwCleaner. I have a program within Windows that does a check of Services running on startup which will give me a list of programs that I might want to not have run on startup. I even disabled the AdBlockerPlus, cleared out the cache, temp files and still the issue with Houzz continues. The message is definitely being generated from Houzz. I upload photos to other sites without issue. Just Houzz has something that changed. I already got notification from Windows that my version of Windows and Apps will not be a problem with the new update. I'm still waiting for the message that I can install which probably won't happen for a few days as they roll it out.
