Tender Perennials in Containers?

I looked for Persian Shield for years, finally found it a few years back
but of course it's not winter hardy in my zone. Last year I was lucky
enough to find 3 plants in a basket stuffer rack at one of the garden
centers. I planted them in a container for the summer, put it in my cool
greenhouse for the winter giving it just enough water to keep it alive.
This spring I cut the ratty looking leaves back to stumps. Low and behold it
worked, I think I will do the same thing this fall, much better than
nursing cuttings through the winter. It even looks better this year.

I have a few other tender perennials grown in pots and containers that have to be moved into the greenhouse for the winter, anyone else do this? I recently bought P. 'Velvet Elvis', love the black green foliage but it hasn't bloomed yet. Also a hardy begonia 'Garden Angel Plum' supposedly hardy for my zone but don't want to chance it so it's going to get the container treatment too.

Feel free to post your tender perennial containers here, always looking for new ideas :).

Annette
