Hardware question - what to use on trash pull out - knob or pull?
Comments (7)I used a pull.... and I borrowed another GW-er's idea to use a larger size than on my other drawers. It's 7 or 8" long, so I hang by dish towel on it (right across from the sink). That way dirty/wet hands grab the towel and don't get the pull and cabinet dirty :) It works reeeeaaaaallly well, though I did have to find a knob/pull line that had lots of different sizes. I used Restoration Hardware. FWIW I have knobs on my cabinet doors, and pulls on my drawers. Since the trash is like a big drawer, this made sense to me. And- looks great!...See Moreblind corner pull-out trash and recycling
Comments (19)I wish I'd seen those before we built. Merillat didn't have that option but we could have installed it ourselves. We have the double trash pullout for recyclables, but I forgot that CT has bottle deposit so instead of newspapers one gets used for soda cans. Trash is under the sink. But I may change out the 18" double trash pullout to pullout drawers and replace the LS in the corner with a 3-4 bin trash/recycle when we get new countertops in a few years! Does anybody know if you have to pull the countertop off to get these in, or is there a telescoping rod with a cotter pin that can just be pulled out? Also, the inside of my corner cabinet is curved - is that a problem for the bins?...See MoreAnyone Use Cup Pulls on Your Pull Out Trash
Comments (8)I was going to ask this same question today! Great minds..... ;) Anywho, I'm not concerned with the "messy" hands- I plan to use a bin pull on the trash cabinet. But, I am also wondering if I can use the same pulls on dishwasher drawers and refrigerator drawers (obviously, I plan to use panels on these appliances, hence the need for hardware). Anyone have this? I want to keep the hardware styles to a minimum.... of 2 to be exact. Bin pulls on the drawers, knobs on the doors....See MoreHelp with trash bin size for pull-out trash cabinet
Comments (2)Doesn't it come with the trash bins? Check Rev-A-Shelf. Btw... the cabinet only needs to be 18" wide, not 21.5". I'd put those extra 3.5" into the cabinet next to it (assuming there is a cabinet next to it)....See MoreMatthew Rieger
