Wisk Deep Clean "he" vs. HE

Georgect....Did you have the Wisk liquid "he" safe for all machine or the Wisk HE made for High Efficiency Machines?

Looked at the Wisk website, and they have both formulas! I ordered Wisk HE today from Amazon (Great reviews).

I don't remember the last time I saw a liquid detergent that is just for HE machines, and not the usual "he" safe for all machines...that usually is suds-o-rama. Excited to try this!

Larsi, I use Wisk HE (not he). On large loads in my Speed Queen TL I use to line 2. on some things I get a lot of suds but it rinses out clear with only one rinse. I do add either baking soda or borax, don't know what effect that would have on rinses.

I was also deciding between these 3 machines. I thought for sure I was going to get Nexxt 500 but will be taking delievery tomorrow of the LG 2487 Steam pair. One of the big final decisions for me was serviceability in my area and well, I just like the look of the LG ones better- which is an admitedly stupid thing to have as the tie-breaker! I am hoping that I'm just going to adore them given the enourmous price tag. Good luck deciding.

Could be either. Could be the new formula is "HE Compatible" so they tossed the logo on there. Haven't used the new Wisk so I have no idea about sudsing on it.

I have been using Wisk Fresh Boost for several months now and absolutely loved it. Wisk uses citric acid instead of sodium percarbonate and no residue is left on clothes or machine. My wash water goes into a sump pump so I liked that the Wisk left no carbonated residue on the pump also. However, I am now trying free- and clear-type detergents as I am trying to figure out if my recent skin irritation is from detergents and soaps or some goofy allergy. I concurrently switched to Vanicream bath soap and a new shampoo with good results, so I don't know when I will go back to Wisk for another trial. I really liked the way Wisk cleaned my laundry and the smell is wonderfully insignificant. The way it rinses clean is really amazing. Hope this helps you somewhat.

Recently did the research after 9 yr old FL Bosch started acting up. Love my Bosch, but it's not worth the $ to repair. Joe is right, the average washer life span is 8.2 years. FL wash better than TL, use less water, and are gentler on clothes. I focused on LG WM4270HVA/DLEX4270V (front-load) LG WM3570HVA/DLEX3570V (front-load) Both models are highly energy efficient and receive good marks from Consumer Reports. Slight differences. The 3570 is the more efficient based on PG&E ratings, and Consumer Reports rates it slightly better than the 4270. The 4270 has a slightly larger capacity tub, an inside light, and a hand wash/wool cycle. The reviews for both models are excellent from a variety of different sites and LG was rated as the most reliable brand. Can't speak to Electrolux washers other than I read about the ability to change the door (cool) and that it tends to drip when opened after a wash (not so cool). Bought the 4270, which will be delivered next week. The hand wash/wool cycle won me over as I use it all the time on the Bosch. Good luck!

I see the HE at the grocery store or dollar store all time.(Dollar General). Not crazy about the scent.

Larsi...the Wisk I used was the he "safe for all washing machines".

I wonder if there's any REAL difference between the two "HE's".

They could be using the same formula in different labeled bottles...just to get more shelf space on the store shelves.

I've just written an email to Wisk to see what they have to say.

The other Wisk that has the bigger HE says High Efficiency best I remember with no mention of "safe for all machines" like the smaller "he" says. Right? I do know it has(or did) a different scent.

@georgect, the two are not the same. I have used both and the HE version is harder to find. I got it at a local IGA grocery store only place in my little area of Raleigh i could find it. With the he I can get no suds in the wash- or very,very little and then get enough in the rinses to wash multiple times. The "he" did ok in the summer last year but this winter for some reason way too many suds in the rinses. I had a the big jug with the spout and finally gave it to my daughter, she not as particular as I am about rinses.

Winn Dixie has the HE Wisk if you have any Winn Dixies in NC. Not sure how far they go. I have an IGA but never looked in there for it. Don't go there very often.

@ sparky823....Yes, one bottle has the small "he" marking that says safe for all machines (top load and front load), and the other bottle has a big HE symbol and states for High Efficiency Machines. From what I have gathered researching it, and on our forum....the 2 formulas smell different!

I thought you could only find the HE wherever there was still stock left..that it changed to * he both?? I can't for the life of me remember where I heard that.

Go to Wisk website. They list both or did last I looked plus the tabs. I have never tried those.

Went to our local Ralph's/Kroeger this morning....ODDLY and naturally they carry the Wisk HE for High Efficiency Machines, the one I ordered online :-o They do not carry the he safe for all machines though. They also sell the Original not he or HE. The HE was $3 less than I paid on Amazon. Arghhhhhhhh!!! LOL

Sparky, the Winn-Dixie stores closed in NC a long time ago. The store where I found it also have med. sized bottles of Tide total care, nonhe. So I'm hoping that Wisk HE is not just left overs. At any rate they quiet a few bottles.
