This is NOT apparently, a popular suggestion, but it is the best and most economical solution to such issues. Your "security" issue is not because of the browser you choose, rather, it's primarily your choice of Operating System that brings about your problems... I have been on line and running Opera, Netscape/Mozilla, Epiphany, K-Meleon, and at times a few others too, all at the very same time for as long as 8 months continuously without ever a shut down, reboot, disconnect or process-kill. And never a virus or a worm or a rootkit or a tracker or a logger or a trojan, never an anything. Get a Linux distribution well suited to your usage and needs, an outgoing firewall, never sign on as "root" and you're pretty much good to go, and go, and go, and go..... Then again, if you're really concerned about "security" and other such subjects, you can get OpenBSD and by default be about as secure as is currently known to be humanly possible.... thank you all for your insights, have kept the browser, appreciate the speed with downloading, much faster than Ff, and as I do a lot of downloads, this is key for me, at least so far. I am not much of one for all the bells and whistles, so appreciate grandms opinion on the browser, and also DA, learning by doing is always a good way to do something new. I am going to see how things turn out, and then take it from there, again thanks to all of you for opinions expressed, and knowledge gained. How wonderful that there are those with this knowledge to share!

I offended some people. I am so sorry, honestly that was not my intention. owbist, I remember you are one of the people that has helped me before. I did not mean to say that I expected instant help. It's just that I guess I have had luck because In all my past request for help. I have always had quick replies, and since my computer is doing funny things I thought it could be possible that my post was not showing. Most of the time NOT....rarely it will. But when I used to use it before it gave up on me I would print shipping labels on PP..........Now since it let me on, I tried to buy the labels and ended up having to do them the old fashion way and will take to the PO tomorrow.......That is mainly my problem.......I will deal with whatever browser, even Chrome if only it prints the labels......... Kath, glad you got your email back. About Firefox 10.0.2. Is that what you had, or did you update it along with Thunderbird? Wondering what caused your problem. I don't know whether to get the update or not. I'm sure Alex will do well on the test. OJ, I had that same problem with Gmail. I use Yahoo now. There is a definite Love-Hate relationship with our computers. Sue
