HELP - two tone kitchen need help with backsplash!
Comments (17)BTW, I'm trying to start the TTK club (Two-tone kitchen) to compete with the OTKers (One True Kitchen - all white cabs w/black counters and white subway), so welcome to the 'right' club! ;-) Majra's kitchen is a great example of using a backsplash with some color/variation in it, while still keeping it light. I don't know about matching exactly or not. I think it depends on your cab color and your space. Mine match almost exactly off the wall, but up, there is a ton of blue in them and some areas match and some totally don't - and it all depends on the light in the room at any given time. Your best bet is to get a few different samples and have them ready for when the counters go in. Then you can pick the right one. And don't let the contractor/tile people/whomever rush you. Find the one you love!...See MoreHelp choose the wood floor tiles to go with my two-tone kitchen
Comments (20)Hmm. I'd sleep on it. See what bugs you more/draws you more. Go with your intuition. Put it in different spots. Look at it in different lights-morning, day, artificial lighting. Stop looking at them for several hours-and then look some more. Not easy I know. I choose my current flooring for a week minimum..gosh I was so silly I even took it next to my face and looked at both of us-me and floor sample lol-in the mirror..to see whether it flatters my complexion)) In the end I chose well, I love it. I'd say I love it madly. But to tell you the truth-if I picked something else, I'd probably like it too..) Because most of all I loved some flooring that we ordered-and were told it was discontinued. I had to choose again. I was so upset! Fast forward six years-I don't even remember what that first love of mine was.....See Morecolor choice help - double two tone kitchen - white/gray
Comments (4)I would just pick one countertop. They are so similar it might read more as a mistake. It seems like EVERYONE is putting in the Blanco. I personally wouldn't not pick that one because everyone in my area seems to have that countertop. It's very basic builder choice around here, but may not be the case in your area....See MorePlease Help! Two toned kitchen cabinets and counter dilemma
Comments (18)@lwfromny thanks for your input! yes, I can decipher it all, no worries. Trust me when I say I have done all my research on vent hood inserts and the importance of having one atleast the same size as your range, preferably one size bigger. The research recommends it being atlest the same size. Im ok with it being at 52 with a CFM of 1200. That was my thoughts exactly, keep all countertops the same to have the cohesiveness; great!...See Moreherbflavor
