Can I get a vote on this?
Comments (42)The border does "pop" a bit. It's a bit early to make any decisions about it however. How many other things in the room are/will be the same colour or tonal quality ? If there are several, then it's just going to be another element of your design theme. If you find it bothers you when the room is finished (and only YOU - not your friends or in-laws) you can calm it down a bit by painting the walls a beigey/buttercream colour. Me - I'd wait until everything was done and if I found it looked lonely I'd go shopping for a few items to coordinate with it, like a beautiful bronze toned faucet, some distressed leather throw cushions, some prints that were framed with the same colour... ;) I personally prefer it to a timid, lukewarm approach. Looking forward to seeing the final pics....See MoreExterior Paint Color - Vote Please
Comments (31)I don't know where you live but if you live where you get a lot of sunshine, the darker paint will fade relatively quickly on the garage door.....and get hot....not that we touch those doors or anything! The lighter color on the garage door may look better with longer with less maintenance. I do like the darker color and the house you shared with the darker trim has that large brighter section to break things up....See MoreExterior color vote
Comments (26)Actually, I'm kidding...I have no idea how any color could be a "Color of the Year"...seriously, who does these things? If someone(s) didn't decide what the trendy colors were, we wouldn't know what was "dated" or not. ;-) And then we couldn't spend not-so-small fortunes every season updating our look (house, clothing, nail polish, etc.). If *I* were in a business that required constant consumption in order to survive, I'd create "Colors of the Year," too, lol....See MoreHelp! Can I use a different color exterior door clad?
