Rain! We Got a Real Rain!!!
Comments (12)So happy for you! This morning I am sitting inside because we had thunderstorms last night (What a lightning show that was!) and it's just too wet to enjoy any blooms. We are supposed to get more today. I know there are a lot of people who need the rain so I am not complaining. Wish I could move it to where others need it. I hear thunder now. Comments (5)thanks mulio and dickiefickle I will look for the spreader sticker. we got lots of rain again last night :( Looks like I have a few days to wait. I want to keep the blight away. So far so good. I get nervous when it rains and washes away my protection. I know some of the spray stayed on because I can see some at the tips of the leaves. I guess I can wait to see what the weather will bring. I don't want to use more chemicals than I have to. Karen...See MoreWOW -- a whole one and a half inches of rain last night!
Comments (16)Fantastic!!! that so many got rain. Rain water nurtures unlike anything we spray on them through a hose. Not a drop here, just the humidity. No winds today. Forecast looks grim...106 tomorrow, then hotter each day to 113 on Monday, then cools back down to 110. Hot, but this time with humidity of 30-40%----calculated heat index into the 130s. Looks bad, but the trend has been the closer to the date, the forecast temp goes up one degree each day. 119 is our hottest recorded temp from 1943. Looks like we're gonna beat it this year. My heart bleeds for my roses, I have so many. I have been collecting several years and many likely can't be replaced. I don't want to loose them. I got up at 5am this morning and got a couple of pickup loads of mulch to spread around, maybe will help. But no mosquitoes, that is a blessing....See Morebostedo: 8a tx-bp-dfw
